"Do you want to go inside, Elskan?" Elijah asked, noticing Lexi beginning to shiver.
"I'm okay" Lexi mumbled, cuddling her body closer to Elijah's. Elijah, Lexi and Stefan had been sitting outside of one of the outdoor lounges reading for the past few hours. Now that the sun was beginning to set, the temperature was beginning to cool down. Elijah then readjusted the blanket they had been using and tightened his arm around her, hoping that it would slow her cooling temperature.
Supernatural warmth is my favourite feature of my mates-
Second favourit- thir- f-
One of my favourite features.
"We can go inside once dinner is ready. It should only be a few more minutes." Elijah said pressing a kiss to her forehead before returning to his book. After a moment, Lexi lifted her eyes from her book to see Stefan who seemed to be less upset then when he first arrived but still nervous.
"Did you want to stay for dinner?" Lexi asked Stefan who was instantly snapped from daze. "I can drive you home after. I'm supposed to go over tonight and see Damon anyways." Lexi clarified. A relieved smile flooded Stefan's face as he realised that meant Elena would probably be leaving his home soon.
Stefan nodded eagerly at her offer, not entirely sure how he is supposed to act around Damon and Elena at the moment. They all then returned to their books before Finn, who had been bullying the catering staff, alerted them that their dinner was ready.
----------------------------------------------------------
"How did you convince them to let you go?" Stefan asked.
"I can be very persuasive" Lexi declared in a suggestive tone.
"I did not need to know that" Stefan said as he scrunched up his nose causing Lexi let out a chuckle before clarifying.
"I'm kidding" Lexi said, "We have an agreement that I get one 2 hour block every month where I can leave the mansion without any of them supervising or stalking me."
"Do you guys do things like that all the time?" Stefan asked, referring to the catering staff which had been compelled to serve them, as he began fiddling with his fingers in his lap.
"Like what?"
"Like the dinner as a family or whatever."
"Kind of. Normally we eat dinner and breakfast together but only me, Finn and Rebekah ever tend to eat then and generally Finn is the one who makes it. So today was kind of special I guess with everyone eating and having a catering staff compelled to serve us."
"Why today?"
"I felt like." Lexi said in a nonchalant tone as she placed the car in park, "Come on, time to face your girlfriend-stealing alcoholic of a brother."
----------------------------------------------------------
"So which one of them is the best?" Damon asked. It was safe to say that over the past hour Damon and Lexi had consumed a concerning amount of alcohol. After dancing on top of all of the furniture in the living room, the pair were now collapsed on the lounge taking advantage of the fact they were both took drunk to have a filter or lie.
"At what?" Lexi said trying to hide her smile with yet another glass of bourbon.
"You know" Damon said suggestively, raising his eyebrows at her.
"They each have their strengths." Lexi declared trying to prevent the awkward blush blossoming on her cheeks.
"But like overall"
"I don't have a favourite"
"Bullshit"
"I can't tell you"
"Oh so you do have a favourite"
"This isn't fair"
"Sure it is- OW STEFAN HELP"
----------------------------------------------------------
"You ready to go?" Rebekah asked as Lexi appeared at the door.
"Yeah" Lexi muttered.
"How drunk are you?" Rebekah asked, genuinely worried for her mate's wellbeing.
"Yes" Lexi mumbled. Rebekah rolled her eyes as she almost had to carry Lexi into her car.
"Come on, Lovely" Rebekah said presenting her freshly bitten wrist to Lexi who had learnt that vampire blood was the best hangover cure. After drinking some of Rebekah's blood Lexi pulled away from Rebekah's wrist and lay back against her passenger seat.
"Thank you" Lexi said which Rebekah acknowledged with a smile.
----------------------------------------------------------
"I can't breathe" Lexi muttered trying to pry Kol's arms off her diaphragm.
"If you didn't keep seeing those Salvatores alone you would be able to." Kol muttered against her back as Lexi continued to wriggle under his arms.
"But you agreed." Lexi whined.
"I didn't, my siblings did." Kol mumbled.
"Don't blame this on me." Klaus said as he exited the en suite. Lexi quickly picked up on Klaus' absence of a shirt and couldn't help but admire.
"See something you like, Love?" Klaus teased.
"Yep" Lexi said popping the 'p' as she tapped the spot next to her, gesturing for him to lie there. Noticing Niklaus' presence, Kol loosened his grip enough for Lexi to move more towards Klaus. Now, Lexi and Nik's legs were tangled together whilst she rested her head and arms on his bare chest. Kol currently had his arms wrapped around her waist while his face was buried against the back of her neck.
"Goodnight." Lexi mumbled after a moment.
"Goodnight, Darling." Kol said against Lexi's back before pressing a soft kiss to his mark.
"Sweet dreams, Love." Klaus said before pressing a soft kiss to her lips and then forehead. Lexi the wriggled slightly before burying her face in Nik's bare chest.
This is nice
Really nice.
All of today was nice,
Perfect even,
Today was the perfect day.
Yesterday was also perfect
And the day before that
And the day before that
And the day before that
And the day before that
And the day befo- you get the point.
At this rate, I'm living the perfect life
If only someone had told me that 10 years ago
But knowing my life, something will go wrong.
I hope it nothing will but something will go wrong
But, as long as this streak continues
I think I can get used to this.
