The Perfect Day

"Good morning, Elskan" Elijah said as Lexi heart rate began to quicken, indicating that she was waking up. Lexi groaned softly and stretched slightly before burying her face back into Elijah's chest whilst Rebekah tightened her grip on Lexi's waist. It has been almost 2 months since Lexi completed the bond with all of the siblings and ever since she has, they have been significantly more attached to her.

"It's too early" Lexi mumbled into Elijah's chest.

"It is the same time you have been woken up everyday this week." Elijah said, part of him not wanting to disrupt him mate's sleeping schedule, the other wanting nothing more than to stay in bed with her all day.

Rebekah, who was practically attached to Lexi's back, pressed soft kisses along her soul mark in an attempt to wake up her mate. A feeling of pleasure overcame Lexi as her mind began to wake up.

"Fine" Lexi muttered as she began to sit up. Elijah mimicked her movement before pressing a soft peck to her lips and attempted to pull her from the sea of blankets she was currently drowning in. Once Rebekah released her from her hold, the trio made their way into the kitchen was currently producing mouth-watering smells.

"And breakfast is served" Finn said as he placed down the final dish on the centre of the table. He had somehow managed to perfectly time Elijah, Rebekah and Lexi's awakening with the time he finished making breakfast.

"Thank you, Finn" Lexi said as slid into his arms for a hug, pecking his lips lightly. Finn hummed in appreciation as Lexi moved to Kol and Klaus.

"Come on, Love. You need to eat." Klaus said, pulling out a chair as Lexi moved out of Kol's arms.

After a surprisingly peaceful and non-awkward breakfast with the entire family, Lexi managed to escape all of the siblings to shower and get ready for the day. She was now dressed in Kol's sweater and a pair of gym shorts whilst on a walk in the woods with Finn, Klaus and Elijah.

"Don't go too far, Love" Klaus said as he and Elijah spectated Lexi who was currently trying to figure out a way around a creek that had come across. Finn, who was closer in distance to Lexi then his brothers, moved so that he was next to her and intertwined their fingers whilst they continued to find a way over the small river.

After a few more minutes of no success Nik said, "The trail must end here, Love." Lexi turned to face him before narrowing her eyes, accepting that as a challenge. Lexi then turned back to the creek, closed her eyes, faced the palms of her hands to creek and began to whisper a chant.

When Lexi reopened her eyes, there was a wooden bridge which was located on either side of the creek, continuing the trail. Elijah then came up behind Lexi who had turned back to face Niklaus and rested his hand of the small of her back before saying, "What was that brother?" A hint of pride clear in his tone.

Niklaus rolled his eyes and let out a soft scoff in an attempt to hide the pride he was also feeling.

"Can you move that more towards the windows?" Lexi requested as she directed Klaus. 

"Of course, Love." Klaus said as he placed down the large easel. After almost six months of Lexi and Klaus sharing the art studio in the mansion, Klaus noticed how personal some of Lexi's art was and decided to make an additional smaller art studio that she could have to herself in addition to the one they shared. Currently, Nik was helping her set up the studio by moving in her requested supplies.

"Perfect" Lexi said, trying to hide the smile that threatened to form on her face as she admired how the room was coming together. Klaus hummed in agreement as he moved up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist in the process. 

"Almost perfect" Klaus said, clearly alluding to an improvement that could be made.

"What would make this room perfect?" Lexi asked, scanning the room for anything she could improve.

"Christening it" Nik said as he began to pepper kissed around his mark. 

"Very funny" Lexi mocked as she moved out of his arms. "Finn is making burgers for lunch and there is no way I am missing that." Lexi added before walking out of the room. Klaus huffed before following her.

"Thank you, Finn" Lexi said as she slid onto her tippy toes to press her lips against his. Finn, Lexi and Rebekah had just eaten the lunch which Finn had made. Finn quickly leant down to meet her lips and slid his arms around her waist. As the pair began to deepen the kiss, the sound of fake gaging was heard. Lexi parted her lips from Finn's long enough to meet the eyes of Rebekah and glare at her.

Rebekah groaned when Lexi went to return her lips Finn's.

"Rebekah" Lexi warned.

"This isn't fair" Rebekah whined, clearly annoyed, "If I knew that cooking would get that good of a reward I would've made sure I was the housewife." Finn was the one to glare at her after that remark.

"Please, Rebekah. You have never and will never willingly work a day in your life." Elijah said, making his presence known as he entered the room. Lexi smiled at him, moving from Finn's arms to Elijah's as he approached.

"WHAT? He didn't even do anything." Rebekah complained as she watched the trio. Elijah hid the smug smile that began to form on his face by burying it in the crook of her neck. Once Lexi grew sick of Rebekah's passive aggressive huffing, she slowly slipped from Elijah's arms. Elijah reluctantly let go before pressing his lips to her forehead. 

Just as Lexi was about to respond to Rebekah's comment, she noticed Elijah, Finn and Rebekah's demeanour shift. Before she could question their behaviour, someone rang the doorbell. 

Lexi, noticing none of her mate's even considering opening the door, sighed before moving out of the brother's sandwich towards the door.

"I'll get it" Lexi mumbled. All of her mates were usually fighting for the chance to be the one to help her but whenever someone who wasn't a Mikaelson was involved it was the exact opposite. As Lexi entered the foyer she noticed Kol and Klaus who were both lurking nearby.

Lexi merely rolled her eyes before moving towards the door. Before she could reach the door, Finn used his enhanced speed to locate himself next to her. When Finn intertwined their fingers, Lexi tilted her head at him, confused by the gesture. 

"Preventing history from repeating" Finn clarified. He still hadn't entirely forgiven himself for not preventing Lexi's kidnapping. Lexi nodded before unlocking and opening the door.

When Lexi's eyes met the person on the other side of the door, a mixture of emotions flooded her mind.

Disbelief

Nervousness

Shock

Excitement 

Sadness

"Bonnie?"
