6: First Lemonade And Bullshits

"Lee, do me a favor will you" a sweet voice came from behind her back

"Hmm? What is it? I'll do it anyway, you know" she replied putting away the hands around her waist. "I'm cooking you know" she's annoyed

"But, do you think it'll be enough?" she roamed her hands on Alex's stomach then the armpit

"Enough of what?" she asked, annoyed of the roaming hands on her body

"If you'll be enough?" the words echoed then she woke up

'Jing?'

She sat up and checked her surrounding, and saw Cale sleeping beside her. She remembered sleeping beside Cale so she could react faster and aid Cale.

Fortunately, Cale woke up feeling refreshed.

"Good morning Alex" he greeted a bit shocked but being used of her antics

"Good morning, how's sleep?"

"Good, I felt refreshed, I dont feel any pain" Cale answered as he feel himself

"Good as expected of my creation" she praised the potion

"By the way, what happened next? What about father? who took the reign?" Cale asked, anxious of his actions, worried for his "innocent" father

"None for the sake everyone's safety, or else I'll put this place on fire for enternity" she answered annoyed at her ward. 'Why is he like Jing? Of course he is her son, hayyyys'

"What about father?" 

"Don't worry the foxes' bait was taken by the rats and got killed, the lame guys is safe in my hands you know"

"What? Even father?"

"Of course, he is still the head you know"

"Ugh" he groaned frustrated
"Are you still hurting Cale?" she asked confused

"No Alex, I'm just thinking if father always encountered these ill wills" Cale thought it would be impossible since his father is a happy-go-lucky man and at the same time a kind lord of the county, but still he is worried and scared if threats are everywhere and their lives could vanish in a second they let their guard down

"Hmmm, I dont think so"
"Why?"
"Cuz you're father's a lame man that could only make money and doesnt have any time to see and feel his surroundings, his uncle's doing all the dirty good works in secret behind him, but he died after Jing married him, so she took over the position while doing her duties as a Countess, now she's gone they thought they could make a move on you two"

Cale's eyes widened in surprise he didn't thought his mother is the one behind their safety. He still could remember his mother losing weight as time pass and becoming ill towards her final day, but then she's still smiled everyday and everywhere beside them

Cale became silent, Alex frowned as Cale thought they did the same to his mother and even worse the cause of her death

"But they could never be the reason of her death Cale, you underestimating your mother again"

"Really? How so? They used poison on first move" Cale?'s surprised as he thought Alex could read minds

"Do you think mere human poisons could harm her? She's the Thames I am proud of, of course you are too, and she mustn't been harmed by them, I knew her well to be bullied here" she look proud for his mother

Cale felt relieved and bothered at the same time
"Why would you know?" he asked

"Cause she is Jing, the Jour Thames I'm proud of" she explained
