26: Friends and Trust

The exam has started. They followed the man, from the start till the end.

'It is really true, this exam is insane' Cale thought.

They were following the man, many got tired and rested and never been able to get up again. They got left behind.

Cale was worried that if got tired will he not be able to pass the test, and then his body started to slowdown.

Ken noticed this and smacked Cale and yelled at him.

"Idiot! Don't ever think of quitting! Don't think of anything useless! Dont be a weak bitch and be left behind! Just endure it!" 

Cale was moved, but he could really feel his body going numb.

The Jours are cheering him up.

'I got a helpless body and you still think I got strength to run again?'

'You can do it Cale! Ken is right just dont think of anything else and run'

Then he felt his body being lifted up. It was Mel who held me like a sack of potatoes by his side.

It was uncomfortable but he got no choice.

Even Leo got tired and slowed down, Mel also slowed down his pace along Wise for Leo to catch up. Ken rushed and stopped by a point then if they're near him he'll continue for them not to be lost.

It was an amazing experience for Cale. People who just got to know each other for a day trusted each other like they knew each other since birth.

And Ken was like a cat. He acts like he doesnt care but he cares. 

The four of them smile and giggle whenever Ken acts like a selfish brat, but he does everything to make sure the 5 of them pass. Though he sounds cold and aloof he is the warmest person Cale has befriended.

For the past days the five of them  officially formed a group of 5 to pass the exam, each of them has their role depending to their situation, but they have their own constant role, Cale is the cook, since he has everything in his pocket and a great cook, Leo is their medic and harvester of something useful,  Wise is their brain and leader since he is knowledegable and smart and has the most flexible adaptation second to Ken. Ken and Mel are their offense and defense and scout, they are the most energetic and strong and their combat ability are top notch.

They were able to pass till the 5th phase since the next exams were individual that they were able to pass with flying colors, it was search and copy.

Cale was  able to pass since he knew runes and  alchemy. It was quite easy for him. And since he is overshadowed by the others in the team he got no problem, he pass under the radar of their enemy teams.

The others used their knowledge and experience.

Meanwhile, Mel was lucky, lucky enough to find his objective early with no one on his way.

And Ken was pestered by some applicants, because they lost to him the previous rounds and they want revenge. 

But little they did know, Ken is the 5th person to be afraid of from Wise's most dangerous people list, and Wise is confident that if Ken is on their team with Mel, the 5 of them will pass.

They were outplayed by the little devil. They got beaten and became traumatized of Ken.

He's fast,strong, stealthy, ruthless and cunning. They couldn't even hold a strand of his hair.

He didn't killed them since his team mates might smell new blood on him, and  2 applicants with them are lunatics, they are stronger, wiser and crazier, he wanted to fight them but he must wait after they pass the exam.
