36: The Dinner

The whole house servants are busy, because for the first time after their first young master's disappearance, the whole family is having another breakfast together, they are delighted to do their best to serve them as the servants want the count's family to bond again not because of a formalities like just attending a family members birthday day, they want them to bond like what happened when the late countess is still alive.

Cale and the company got roped in because of the cute little girl who flew into Cale's stomach and they fell down like a tower.

The breakfast is served hot, however the biggest piece of the family has not came down yet, he wasn't done to fix his appearance as he used Violan's make up to look more handsome.

Cale and the company sat back far from the seat of the head of the house, it is understandable to Cale's friends but Cale himself sat far opposite from the head.

Basen still on the cloud nine, secretly grins to himself as he remember what they did in the hideout, even though Ron caught them, they weren't called to be questioned by the Count.

'I think Ron is still on hyung's side, he didn't reported us even he is the one who caught us, he still serves hyung' He thought

And then the head finally appeared looking good and refreshed, he really took his sweet time to use make up to look good.

"Good morning, I apologize for the tardiness" he said and sat on his seat. "Now let's eat"

They started eating breakfast and only the clattering of the utensils could be heard.

The 15 minute breakfast is in awkwardness and silence.

And that made Deruth felt like he did some mistake again to Cale.

Unlike now, Cale, in his toddler era, is the most talkative toddler he ever met he is chirpy, cheerful, curious as he always ask what they are eating and it's ingredients, then compliment the cooks then ask him how's his father's work and mother's work, compliment them too.

Reminiscing the past, Cale is too different from before.

He felt guilty again. Blaming himself in silence.

On the other hand, Cale is planning how to tell them that they are leaving tomorrow, he ate in gracefulness and silence, that made Ken and Mel look astonished to their friend.

"He looked like a noble" both whispered

Mind that Ken is also a royal noble blood in their territory. But he isn't that graceful and elegant to move like how Cale move subconsciously, he is a free child in elegance (he is just handsome in every angle). Well, Mel is a child with gentle soul (a cute and reliable looking kid).

Basen stared at Cale, in awe whatever Cale do.

Cale stopped eating, then put down his knife and fork, he drank a glass of water then wiped his mouth.

Everyone continued eating, then fast forward to the dessert.

Cale is playing with the icing of the cake, and Deruth noticed it as well as Violan who steals glances at her husband then children.

"Is there any problem with the cake Cale?" He asked as he fidget, nervous if the cake is not Cale's liking.

"No, I was just thinking..." Cale replied

Deruth's heartbeat started to become fast and powerful, he could feel  and hear it. He really is desperate to his son.

As he should be as Cale, even if he is not telling anything to them of what he reached, Deruth could feel that his son is already out of his reach.

"What is it? Is something wrong?" He immediately added

"I'm thinking of ways how to tell you that we will depart soon, tomorrow afternoon" Cale answered.

'Ah, at least he is being honest... Wait... What?!' Deruth's process of thoughts detected that there is something wrong of what Cale answered, so he is stuck up and shocked.

"What do you mean of that Hyung?" Basen followed

"... Why is it too soon, Cale? Your friends haven't got any rest from your adventures around the county" Violan spoke

Basen looked at his mother and apologized..
"Sorry mother, I was just surprised"
"It's alright dear just watch out for the future"

Violan is known to be strict, etiquettes and rules must be followed, but for a few situations she lets go.

"We are around here for almost a month already, we need to get going, and Mel's family is waiting for him, we have to visit them as soon as possible"

"A month already?!" Basen is shocked

"Is that so Mel?" Violan asked Mel

Mel being the problem made him sweat bullets.

"Yes, since we have to travel using the ship that rarely visits the port here" Mel answered in one breath

Violan looked at Ken like a hawk, trying to get more information however Ken being a counter for older females just nodded.

"When are you going back?" Deruth asked. 'Right, he did decided he will chase after his mother's footsteps. And he already threw away my last name... What right do I have for him?'

"Dunno, if I ever felt coming back" Cale answered

"Hyung! I thought you'll be in visiting us! You promised"

"... I was kidding, of course I promised you, I'll come back so don't be angry at me, and that might be a bloody reunion, hahhaha"

"That's not a good joke hyung"

"Really, who comes back all bloody and at deaths door?" Cale laughed

Basen frown deeper. While Violan and Deruth shivered.

Lily unable to hear all of what they are discussing due to Cale's active sound barrier.

Deruth plead to bring whatever he can give Cale and his friends for their travel being rejected other than the money he offered.

Cale and his friends will not need the carriage and the servants since they might become bags to them.

Even Ron and Beacrox are rejected since Cale never wanted him to be in their way.

Basen insisted to sleep with Cale along with his friends, one last time.

Next morning, Cale and his friends packed all of the things they'll need for their travel. And bid their goodbye in the afternoon leaving the crying Basen and Lily.
