34: Clones for Diversion

Morning came and the sunlight kissed Basen's cheeks to wake him up.

It was unusual for him to wake up late, but it is justified since he is still wide awake late night yesterday, however upon waking up he couldnt sense where his hyung and his friends are. He started to doubt  if what happened yesterday was real.

Then the door opened and the trio entered the room with trolly for breakfast.

"Good morning!" Mel greets

"Morning" Ken greet

"Good morning, how the sleep, still sleepy?" Cale asked teasing him

"Morning hyungs, I'm awake now"

"Good" Cale chuckled and ruffled his hair

Basen giggled and leaned to Cale's hand, then he peeked at the trolly

"Then we will have adventures to do, do you want to come with us Basen?"

"What are we going to do?"

"Going to play outside" Ken replied

"I already told mother, and she approved, we are asking you if you want to come with us"

"Mother did?! We're going outside to play hyung?! Awesome!"

"Yeah, and we have to get going since we have to come back before dinner"

"Where are we going hyung?"

"We have guests so you'll have to be with us and tour the county"

"Oh, I'll take a bath first then"

"Oh about that, we will pack some clothes, here's the secret, we will go somewhere in the county that even the map doesnt know" Cale said and put his index finger on his mouth as sign.

Basen nodded aggressively while giggling

"We have to eat first but we'll eat more on the way"

They ate while asking Basen's experiences while Cale was gone.

He was sad and burdened of the expectations and responsibilities the vassals seeks to him.

"There's no need to pay their expectations Basen, just being a good Count is enough, nothing more nothing less, you dont have to be perfect about everything, nothing's perfect, we are just perfectly imperfect beings" Cale said

Basen nodded as he answer he got it

 "That's right, and if they expect something to you just ask them their achievements, they'll become silent, those old men are nothing but proclaims on papers, they havent done anything big, and remind them who they are, they dont have the right to expect you of being perfect"

Just like that, most of Basen's worries flew out the window, he breath out and smiled

"Yes, thank you hyung" he thanked Cale

"It's nothing" 

"I see, I think did the good choice, Basen is indeed will become a good count" Ken said. "I tell you, that my big brother is also like Cale but he is lazier and gloomy, however he bet who will become the next head of the family and he won, big brother Rin is actually a great young head of the family" 

"So you're also a noble Ken-hyung? You look like from a great family, youre so pretty and unique like hyung" Basen asked

"Not that typical noble you talk about we dont serve anyone just an independent family, we are just a little bit wealthy family with a long history"
