14: The Trash and The Con Artist

Cale's plan worked perfectly, he seemed cold and distant to the newly formed family but deep inside he loved it that he wont dare to take a step to be with them.

Cale's plan worked well, that he trashed himself, and even believed that he is also one.

However, Alex didn't let it happened.

It was the first birthday of the youngest Henituse, and everyone is busy dealing their own works.

But Cale on the other hand is still asleep after his all night rune study.

"What a trash, still sleeping? He's not even doing anything beside being a trash" the maids dared to loose their lips.

Cale purposely grabbed the lowly servants to filter the new family servants and punish them himself.

Cale believes it was the best way to ruin him faster, but he is annoyed that the father son duo are still working to him, he doesn't want them because they work perfectly and it was a waste for them to serve him.

He doesn't need any servant, he got his runed golem cleaners in disguise of jars that doesn't bark nor ask for any pay.

Cale is doing this to prepare his departure to the forbidden dark continent to study under the class of ancient clans.

"After leaving here, do you want to return here?" Alex asked

"Not at all, I cant dare to tarnish this peaceful family anymore than I already had, besides I could form my own family or not, I have you anyway why should I wish for more?" Cale answered then jumped at her to hug her like a cat asking for a cuddle

Cale trained his cousin to take over the Shadow Count which Janna would like want to have, she is very enthusiastic and happy to have the position because she knew the reason behind it which Cale told her honestly when she interrogated him to spill it.

Alex knew Janna could do it, because she thought Janna got the guts of the criminal father, and her free and strong spirit from her mother.

Alex asked Cale to give Janna a mission to succeed him, which is to unravel the dirt of the old geezers who are the Count's vassals and ruin them privately, socially and politically, which she happily accepted.

It only took her a day and she got imprisoned for pick pocket, she got bailed out, then the next day she got imprisoned again but for molestation and next day again for abduction.

She got bailed out because her reasoning and guts covered her, she proved herself innocent.

It was only a week but she got imprisoned 3 times already, but proved herself innocent, Cale couldn't judge if that's to be proud of or not, but let her do her mission.

Then for the next week she is being arrested almost everyday because of accusations which she proved she's wronged.

Cale couldn't get it why she is getting arrested.

Then he asked Alex to follow her.

Alex followed her when she got out of their house at the morning.

She immediately ran to a bar which serves alcohol and some foods to get breakfast and information. But

Then a noble woman stepped on her feet that made them both crashed down.

The noble woman got angry and made her arrested, the woman made a scene.

In the jail they were given time to explain themselves.

"That peasant made us both fell down and made my expensive dress to be dirtied"

The woman explain shallow reasons then dragged her family name after she's done then it is Janna's time to shine.

"How funny, how could you say that dress is expensive? If that dress is imitated. Who says Im the reason we both fell down, we someones who's blind to run on me dragging her plate full to her own dress. Want me to pay? Excuse you, you should be the one to pay, my clothes are so cheap that only few people could afford, do you know who designed and made the clothes you ruined? It was the First Lady Capricorn, that humble woman created this clothes to please me" she's still going on her sarcastic remarks that made the noble woman tremble in fear. She didn't mean to brag but there it is she is just looked like bragging.

The noble woman looked at Janna, she really looked like a peasant because of the design of the clothes but the branding tells it otherwise. Why the hell First Lady Capricorn designs peasant looking clothes?

Janna loves this kind of clothes because she could trick a lot of illiterate who didn't know her family and dry their wealth out, she's laughing hard now inside for the money she could get out of this stupid woman.

"Im an elder daughter of Baron Somall you cant imprison me!"

"Hehehe, how humble, dont you know you just offended a daughter of Viscount Cornella? The second family of Count Deruth Henituse?" she is just speaking the truth and a fact.

The noble woman knew she fucked up. She is even lower than the peasant dressed daughter of a Viscount, and the second family of the Henituse she fucked up very well. She cried and kneed immediately fighting for her life.

Janna grinned at the sight, she really loves to do this, looting people and tricking them for her good.

After an hour, she got what she liked, money and some information about the old geezers and got to befriend the guards.

She was getting ready to get out of the station but another problem arrived.

"You were one of the suspects of poisoning a costumer at the Day Bar" the knights laughed at the non sense of the stupid nobles and suspected everyone who got in the bar. They were with her the whole time.

Alex couldn't hold her surprise. She really couldn't get used of the stupidity of the humans. She just laughed out at Janna's stupified  reaction.

"What the fuck?! I'm just right here the whole time and couldn't even get in the bar properly because of some stupid shits!" she's angry and annoyed and getting hungry. She didnt got to eat her breakfast so she went to the Day Bar which is near her that time.

"That's what the marquis ordered, the count is currently finding the solution for the problem" the knight felt sorry at her

"Why is the county being run by the stupid nobles who aren't even educated about some shitty laws of territories?!" she just shoke her head in annoyance.

"That was the order, the marquis is holding at their rights as they are higher than the count." the knight wanted to apologies but Janna cut him first

"I'm hungry, do you have some food there?" she asked

The knights couldn't choose how to react pity or amusement or sorry.

"We have food here my lady"

"Don't call me that, just call me Janna, by the way what do you have there?"

And as they shared the food like they were having a feast, Janna ordered more. The knights are happy to have her. Then they played games such as card games and guessing games. They even shared some of their stories. And then the problems are solved but she choose to stay with them until night and escorted her to their home.

Janna went home happy and content for the day, she got some money, got information, got to bond with the knights, played some games and had fun with them. She really won.

Meanwhile Alex who is spying her got her laugh the whole time, she really liked the kid.
