Chapter 12

They all arrive at the house around 6:30. NuNew is to nervous to get out of the car. He hasn't been in the house for a while and his father would be home. " You can do it NuNew " Nat says trying to reassure him. He gives Nat a small smile before opening the car door. When he walks up to the door he stops right in front of it. He takes a couple of deep breaths before opening the door and walking inside. He waits for everyone to come inside the house before closing the door. He then turns around and loudly says " Mom I'm back. We've all arrived ". His mother quickly comes over to him and pulls him into a tight hug. " How are you doing NuNew. Are you upset or panicking a little still " she says quickly. He just hugs her back. " I'm doing ok. Everyone helped calm me down. I also saw Mrs.Betty and talked with her a bit and introduced everyone. Which by the way, what did you tell her ". She laughs and says " We can talk about that some other time. Right now you should show everyone your room. I'm making dinner and Mrs.Betty is coming for it as well ". He nods and then turns around to everyone. " Follow me, my rooms on the first floor " he says before walking towards the hallway. There's 2 guest rooms and then the last room at the end is his.
Once he gets to his room he opens the door excitedly, quickly heading inside.
His room is not to small or to big. It's just the perfect size to have everyone be in his room. LED lights trace the edge of the ceiling. While the walls are filled with several different artworks as well as posters of his favorite artist. At the back of the room there's a long desk that has a photo album that contains photos of him growing up. As well as art supplies and music equipment. Laying on the bed is his cat July. So he walks over to her and picks her up. " Is that July " Nat excitedly asks. He nods his head and walks over to Nat. " She always looks a little grumpy but I promise she's not " he says laughing. Nat gently pats July. " Do you want to hold her Nat " he asked. Nat's eyes widen. Showing his excitement. Which makes everyone laugh. He gently transfers July into Nat's arms. " You guys can sit on the bed or wherever you want " he says smiling. " Aww NuNew you were so cute as a little kid ". He quickly turns to see Net looking through the photo album. He quickly walks over to him and takes it. His face a little red. " I don't remember what photos are in here Net ". Net just laughs as he watches him quickly look through the photo album. When he stops on a page he sees a photo that's of him and Noah freshman year. His eyes widen as he quickly takes the photo out. He sets the photo album back down on the desk before he rips the photo in half. Shocking everyone. " Sorry there's someone in this picture that is not a good person. I don't even know how many more photos there are of me and him in the album " he say's quietly. Zee walks over to him and tries to see the ripped photo but He just hides it behind his back not letting anyone see. " It's Noah isn't it NuNew " he hears Max ask. Everyone besides him, max, Zee and Nat is confused. He just bites his lip anxiously before remembering something. He quickly pulls open a drawer on the desk and grabs a lighter. Before anyone could react he lights the picture on fire and sets it in the empty garbage bin. He then quickly scans through the rest of the photo album making sure no other photo had Noah in it. Once he's 100% sure he then hands Net the album back. " You can look through the album now " he says quietly. " Why did you burn that photo instead of showing us. Who even is Noah " Net asked confused. " Long story short he's the first person I had a crush on and he's the reason everything happened " he says quickly. " As for why I burned the photo. I don't trust Hia or P'Max to not beat him up when they see him " he says glancing between Max and Zee. " He deserves it " Max says. He just sighs. " My point proven ". He walks over to Nat and sits down next to him on the bed. July noticing him meows and walks off of Nat's lap and on to his. He smiles slightly. " My mom got me July when I started to distance myself from her and my dad. July would always know that something's wrong. She always comes to me whenever I'm upset or sad " he says quietly as everyone watches July rubbing her head against his stomach. He starts to pet July. " What are you feeling right now " Jimmy asked. " I'm stressed right now " is all he says. However Nat being Nat pushes him on to say the full thing. " You're not telling us something. That's what's causing you to be stressed isn't it " Nat asked. He closes his eyes tightly. At the same time a quiet meow is herd. " Wow both my best friend and my cat gave me away " he says quietly. Zee walks over to him and in a calm voice says " Why are you holding things back from us. You know that you can trust us right ". He takes a deep breath. " You guys wouldn't allow me to leave if you know ". Zee gently grabs his shoulder. " Can you please tell us. It's making you feel stressed even more and that's not a good thing ". He knows Zee is right. But knowing how much him and Max hate Noah. He doesn't know what they will do. " You have to promise me you won't do anything. And I really mean it " he says. He sees everyone nod their heads. And as of July senses his rising anxiety she meows a couple of times before pushing her body against him. Trying to give him comfort. So he starts to pet her. " Noah lives really close to my house " he says. " How close is really close " he hears Tommy ask. " Like he's my neighbor. Which means he more than likely knows I'm at home. And I don't know what he's going to do. He's almost as crazy as Nate and the others in that group. Nate is his role model " he says quietly while picking up July. He stands up and walks towards the windows and looks outside. The window shows what his backyard looks like. At the end of it is another house facing the other way. Just looking at it makes him anxious. July noticing stands up and leans her paws on his chest. " I'm ok July " he whispers quietly trying to calm her down. " The house across the backyard is his. We grew up together playing in that yard. I confessed in the backyard. And everything started in that backyard " he explains. And when he notices someone looking at him from the window of the other house he quickly closes the curtains. It scares July who jumps to the floor but still stays next to his legs. Rubbing against them. " Fuck " is all he can say. He turns around and looks at everyone. He takes a breath before saying " I've been spotted by Noah ". He picks July back up and says " I need to go tell my mom. She knows that he can be crazy so I should warn her " he says trying to sound calm. However July makes it known that he's not ok. He just takes a deep breath before walking out of his room. They all follow behind him.
When he was about to turn the corner to go inside the kitchen he hears his father crying. He turns around telling them to be quiet before turning back around and listening. " He's my son and I couldn't protect him! How can he even be as strong as he is right now. He's so much stronger then I could be " his father says. He bites his lip anxiously. He can feel Zee gently grab his shoulders. He can tell Zee wants him to go talk with him but he doesn't want to. He wants to listen more to what he says.
" Those kids need to rot in prison for the rest of their lives " his father says hitting the counter making him back up nervously. " I fucked up so bad when I saw him last. How can I even say I'm sorry after what I said. I'm so stupid. Is he doing ok after the video. They're all helping him right ". His father asked concerned.
He decides to put July down and walk into the kitchen. " No one could have predicted that would happen to me. I was never even able to predict that happening. Even if they constantly hurt me every day I still never expected them to do that " he says catching his parents attention. Mrs.Betty is there as well. " You were scared when you said what you did. You didn't want to see me like I was in the past. You were right when you said that you can't know unless I tell you guys. I'm currently trying to fix that dad. I knew that for a while your emotions were controlling you. Me being angry wasn't helping as well. I was just so stressed by everything happening. And I was just being stubborn ". His father doesn't look at him. He can tell that he's ashamed of himself. So he walks over to him and hugs him. After a little while his dad hugs him back. " I never wanted anyone to see that video of me. Especially you and mom because I knew it would make you like this " he quietly says. All of his friends walk into the kitchen. " I also want you to know that since the second video got released I'm doing ok. It really effected me for a little while but I was able to calm down thanks to my friends.  When I found out I ran but this time I made it to somewhere that I knew Hia Zee could find me " he says trying to reassure his father.
At the mention of Zee his father looks up and only then notices his friends. His father stops hugging him and says " Thank you truly for helping him. I'm sorry that I was yelling a lot the last time we met ". His father then stands up and looks around his group of friends before looking at Nat. " Your names Nat right? I'm especially sorry for what I said about you. I'm extremely great full that you defended him and yelled at me for what I said ". Nat smiles at his father. " Although this is sweet that we are all apologizing I want to talk with mom about me being back here and Noah ". At the mention of his name he can feel everyone in the room become tense. " What about him? Did he do something to hurt you " Mrs.Betty asked worried. He shakes his head. " Im just worried that he knows I'm here. I was looking outside my window and he was looking at me. He's crazy like Nate. I don't know what he might do ". As he finishes talking july rubs against his legs again so he picks her up. " If anything happens I will talk with his mother. As of right now let's all have dinner. The foods done and Mrs.Betty made some macaroons for you NuNew ". He looks over to Mrs.Betty and smiles, thanking her. " When I knew you were coming I had to make your favorite dessert that you like " she says. He laughs and tells his friends " Mrs.Betty can make amazing desserts ". All his friends nod and smile. They then set up the table before sitting down and eating dinner. On one side of him is Zee while Mrs.Betty is sitting on the other side.
He smiles through out the whole dinner. Listening to the lively conversations that are happening. Laughing along whenever someone says something funny. He's never been this happy since everything started. All the people that have helped him are now sat in the same room. Talking while they eat dinner.
He knows that this is only a short lived happiness. He knows that tomorrow will be another hard day for him. However, he's glad that even though it's short. He was able to feel as happy as he does. This short lived happiness is what helps him continue to stay strong. He knows there will be a chance for more times like this if he stays strong until the court case ends.

I really wanted to make July his like emotional support animal. Because animals are smart and can tell peoples emotions. Also on a different note. ZeeNuNew finally gave us a fandom name! We are called ZonZon and I find it cute.
Zee Only NuNew . ZonZon also means Mischievous/Naughty. It's a cute name.
