Chapter 32

Nat then walks over to him. He looks towards Nat. They both look at each other for a little while before Nat says " Please don't ever blame yourself for me having a nightmare. I know you have had several nightmares that involve me getting hurt and I don't blame myself. I blame Nate and the others. So please, never blame yourself for me having a nightmare like I did " in a quiet voice. Nat grabs onto his hands. " It was so scary not being able to get into the room with you NuNew. I know you more than likely didn't want us to see you in the condition that you were in but, I'd rather see you like that instead of not being able to be there with you so I can help you. I want to be there for you. We all do, but we can't be there for you when you constantly try to shut us out. You get better and then you shut us out again " Nat says. He looks towards the ground not wanting to look at anyone. " Everytime I feel like I can finally open up some small thing just sets me off and I just completely shut myself off away from everyone. I don't even know why I do this. Maybe it's a trauma response. Maybe I just feel more safe doing that. I don't know " he says. " It's a trauma response. You were so used to not opening up to anyone for such a long time while you were going through a lot of traumatic situations so your mind automatically makes you do that " a new voice says. Making him flinch. He unknowingly moves closer to Nat, scared. " NuNew, it's the therapist you worked with back at the hospital after the first event. We called him when we couldn't reach you " he hears his mother say. So he hesitantly looks up towards his mother. He sees her holding a phone that shows his old therapist. He looks between her phone and everyone else before looking back down. He feels incredibly ashamed to be at such a low point where his parents needed to call his therapist from the hospital." Don't be ashamed NuNew. There's nothing to be ashamed of " Nat says. He just laughs in disbelief before quietly saying. " How can I not when this proves just how bad I still am. How I was correct at not recovering at all " He let's go of Nat's hands before giving Nat the necklace. He then walks over to his desk and starts to clean up the mess he made during his ptsd episode. However he stops when he hears his therapist say " If possible, I'd like to have both NuNew and Nat come into my office tomorrow. I'll write a note for your school to explain why you both are going to be a day late back to school ". He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath before standing back up. " I just want to go back to school " he says sounding defeated.
He flinches when he feels someone grab his shoulder gently. He quickly turns around and sees Zee. " I know you want to go back to school but this would be good for you. For the both of you guys ". He looks over to see Nat who looks like he's in deep thought. He looks over to Zee again. " Only because I know he can help Nat " he says before going back to cleaning, only to be stopped by Zee pulling him back up. He lets out a frustrated sigh, but just lets Zee hold onto him.
" What about you Nat. Would that be ok for you Nat " his mother asked Nat. " Can P'Max and P'Zee come with us " Nat asked hesitantly. " Of course. I can write a note for them as well. They can be there for emotional support " his therapist says. Nat then agrees to go. " Ok, then I'd like to talk with NuNews parents as well as Max and Zee in private please " his therapist asked. So the four of them walk out of the room. It's now just him, Nat, James, Net, Tommy and Jimmy. He looks around at everyone before looking back at Net when he starts to clean up the mess. " P'Net I can do this myself. After all I'm the one who made the mess " he says before going to clean it up as well. " James " is all Net says before he feels James grab on to him, making him sit down on the bed. James then does the same thing for Nat. When Nat is sitting down next to him he leans his head down on Nat's shoulder. Nat then leans his own head down on top of his. They just sit that way for a little while before Jimmy brings July into the room and sets her down in both of their laps. She immediately starts to try and comfort the both of them. " The mother cat has come to comfort her kittens " Tommy says. Both him and Nat laugh quietly at what Tommy says. He hears Nat yawn so he looks towards him. " You tired " he asked. " The both of us are NuNew " Nat says. Making him smile. " You guys should take a nap. We could wake you both up before dinner is done " Jimmy says. The both of them sit up before he looks towards Nat and says " Are you ok to take a nap before dinner Nat ". He watches as Nat thinks for a little bit before nodding his head. Tommy grabs a hold of July. Who tries to get out of his grasps and back to them. Him and Nat lay down on his bed before Tommy sets July back down on his bed. July quickly goes in between the both of them and lays down. Causing everyone of them to laugh. " Try to get some sleep before dinner ok guys. If you need us we will be in the living room " Net says. He smiles before saying " Yes dad ". Him and Nat both laugh before Net says " You better behave or your dad will be mad " Jimmy says. They laugh again before Nat says " If he gets upset we will go just tell our mom then ". Jimmy laughs. " Having twins is so difficult " James says as if he's acting like their mother. Which causes them to laugh. " Ok, get rest you two. We'll wake you guys up later " Jimmy says before they shut off the light and leave the room. When they leave the room he turns to look at Nat. They make eye contact. It's quiet for a while before Nat asks " What's it like to see a therapist. Is it hard or difficult ". He thinks for a little while before saying " I'll be honest. It can be both. Some days it's very hard and can be horrible to be there and do. While on some days it can be a good experience. It all just depends on the person and therapist ". He sees Nat nod before asking " What do you think he wanted to talk to us about. Especially with the both of us ". He thinks for a while before saying " I honestly don't know but I think it's to do with your nightmares and how bad of a ptsd episode that I had. He's probably going to want to talk with the both of us alone before talking to the both of us ". It's quiet again before Nat says " Are you nervous for tomorrow because I am ". He lays one of his arms over Nat before saying " I'm really nervous. His office is in the hospital because he works with extreme cases of ptsd. I haven't seen him or been back at the hospital since the day I left. I never wanted to go back. The traumatic things didn't just happen at the school. A good portion of the traumatic situations happened there at the hospital. It's hard to just even drive by there. So I can't imagine how hard it's going to be to go back inside ". Nat wraps his arm around him, similar to how he has his arm around Nat. " We will have each other as well as P'Max and P'Zee ". He smiles and nods his head. Shortly after finishing their conversation they both drift off into sleep.
When he falls asleep he finds himself waking up on his bed. Only this time he's in a large black room. So he looks around. In the far distance he can see someone standing near a window. So he stands up and slowly walks over to them. As he gets closer to the person he can hear them crying. " Hello " he calls out when he gets around 10 feet away from the person.
He sees the person flinch before turning around. When he can clearly see the persons face he freezes. It's himself. Only the other version of himself is in a bloody outfit with fresh scars and burns. The other NuNew is in the same exact outfit as he was during the incident at the school. When the other NuNew walks towards him he takes a step back. " Help NuNew. Help me. We are going to die NuNew ". He starts to quickly walk back until he falls to the ground. When the other NuNew reaches him they start to scream loudly " Please don't kill me! Help me he's killing me! They're coming after me! They're hurting us NuNew ". He shakes his head no quickly. He plugs his ears and closes his eyes. " This isn't real. I was just in my bed next to Nat. Wake up ". He can hear muffled screaming. When he opens his eyes, everything is suddenly back to normal. He's laying down on the bed. When he looks over to his side he sees Nat sleeping peacefully. July is sleeping closely to Nat. So he slowly and quietly gets up off of the bed. He then walks over to the bathroom. Closing the door behind him.
He turns around and heads towards the sink and mirror. He turns the sink on before getting his hands wet with water. He then rubs his face with his hands. He looks up at the mirror and notices how pale he looks. He doesn't seem to shaken up by his nightmare on the outside but on the inside his nightmare has scared him a lot. He's never had one like that before.
" NuNew, you in there " he hears a voice ask from outside of the bathroom. So he opens the door. When he does he sees Nat holding July in his arms. " Are you ok NuNew, you are pale ". He gives Nat a small smile before saying " Sorry did I wake you up ". Nat shakes his head and says
" I just barley woke up. When I noticed you were gone I got up and checked the bathroom. Did you have a nightmare ". He nods. " I've never had a nightmare like the one I just had. It was really weird and scary. I was standing in front of myself. Only it was me in the same bloody outfit and fresh scars and burns from the first incident. The other me started to scream at me for help saying they're hurting me and that we are going to die and some other things. I haven't been awake for much longer than you have Nat ". He sees Nat give him a small smile before saying " Lets go out into the living room so we can see the others. It might help you calm down from your nightmare ". He nods his head before Nat gives him July. He smiles a little bit before following Nat into the living room. " Oh we were about to just come wake you guys up. Are you guys doing
alright " James asked before continuing in a nervous voice " NuNew, you look pale what happened ". He gives James a small smile before saying " Just a small nightmare. I'm doing ok though. Just a little shaken up from it still " he says as he sits down at the dining room table next to Zee. Who wraps his arm around him almost instantly. He sets July down on the ground before leaning against Zee. He closes his eyes to try and get a little more rest. However when he does he sees the other him again. Which causes him to flinch. He quickly opens his eyes. " Are you sure you are ok " Zee asked worried. " I think I'm a lot more shaken up from my nightmare then I'd like to admit to not just you guys but to myself as well " he says in a breaking voice. Trying to hide his anxiousness. Zee just pulls him into a hug. Shortly after Nat says " NuNew said that he had a nightmare where he saw another version of himself. It was just like how he looked the same day as the first incident. With bloody clothes and fresh scars and burns. He said that the other him was screaming at him. Saying things like they were going to die ". He can feel Zee tighten his hold on him. " I think I had this nightmare because I have to go back to the hospital again tomorrow and I haven't been back there since the first incident " he says as everyone besides him, Nat and Zee set up the table and being the food over to the table. He notices the large amount of food being set down on the table. Most of them are his favorite types of food. So he smiles a little bit. " You should make sure to tell this to your therapist Dr.Bun tomorrow " his mother says. So he nods his head and says " I will, did he tell you how tomorrow is going to work. Just so me and Nat are a little more prepared on what to expect ". He watches as everyone sits down at the table before his father says " Dr.Bun said that tomorrow is mostly going to be for you. However he wants to see Nat so he can help Nat get a proper diagnosis for ptsd and any other possible thing he might have. He is going to talk with Nat's parents before you both meet with him. Nat will talk with him alone for a while first. If needed Max will be able to go back into his office with him. After that Dr.bun said he will talk with you. Similar to Max being able to help Nat, Zee will be able to help you. After that he would like to meet with the both of you as well as Max and Zee ". He nods his head before his mother says " Dr.Bun also mentioned how he'd like to take a walk with just you and him around the hospital to talk ". He looks over to his mother quickly. " What? Why do we have to walk around the hospital. Why can't we just stay near his office towards the front of the hospital " he says a little panicked. " I'm not sure what he wants to talk about NuNew " His mother says. " You do realize what that's gonna do to me. How much stress that'll put on me. You of all people should know how he is. He's just going to make me go into another anxiety attack because of where he'll take me in that damn hospital " he says quickly. " NuNew watch your language please ". He stands up. " I'm going outside for some fresh air " he says before grabbing onto Zee's hand and pulling him with him. Knowing he wouldn't be allowed to go by himself. When they both have their shoes on he pulls Zee outside of the house and down the road. " NuNew what " he interrupts Zee and says " Please don't say anything for right now. Please just walk with me for right now " he says as he stops and turns to look at Zee. Zee just nods and says " At least let me know where we are going baby ". He takes a deep breath before saying " To a secret spot that I would go to whenever I needed to be alone ". When he sees Zee nod he gently pulls him again towards his secret hiding spot.

Writers block has been a lot and strong recently
