Chapter 29

When NuNew feels someone trying to wake him up by shaking him he expects it to be Zee. However when he opens his eyes he sees Nat. So he sits up and looks at the time. He reads the clock and it says 11:00 am. " Wake up sleepyhead. It's time to get up and get ready for the day. It's our last day here and we are all going to the mall today " Nat says excitedly. He laughs while saying " I'm getting up. Want to help me choose my outfit out Nat ". He doesn't even have to ask knowing that Nat will gladly help. In fact right after asking Nat rushes over to his dresser. He stands up and slowly walks over to his dresser and stands next to Nat. " It's going to be hot out today. It's going to reach 90°F ( 32°C ). Since it's almost summer so you should wear some shorts today ". Nat says before stopping and turning around to look at him. " Is it ok for me to choose an outfit that'll have some of your scars showing. Or would you prefer to not show any scars " Nat asked him seriously. He smiles and says " Thank you for asking Nat. And I'm fine with showing my scars. If I want to help people who have been through things like we both have then I shouldn't be afraid to show my scars ". Nat smiles before giving him a quick hug. " I'm glad that you are getting better with your scars NuNew. It makes me happy to see you starting to accept the scars ". He thinks back to last night. Where he was thinking badly about his scars. He still thinks the same thing. That he won't be able to recover from how he feels about his scars and burn marks. He's just trying to stay strong to help others who are like him. Because he knows that someone has to be there for others who feel alone. So they won't feel that away again.
" NuNew are you ok " he hears Nat ask. Pulling him out of his thoughts. " Yeah. Sorry Nat " he says a little quietly while looking at Nat. He sees that Nat isn't believing him. He can see that Nat wants him to tell him so he won't have to deal with anything alone. He gives Nat a small smile and says " I know Nat. I know you want me to tell you ". He takes a deep breath before saying " Just you say that I'm getting better with accepting my scars and burn marks but I find that so hard to believe. Last night I just kept thinking about how I feel like there is hope for me to recover from almost everything else but my scars. It's so hard to accept them when they're like a constant reminder of what's happened to me, you and P'Max. And I feel like they just make me look really ugly. Nate and the others gave me these scars which makes it so much worse ". It becomes silent for a while. He watches Nat carefully before saying " Sorry, I ruined the happy mood ". He feels guilty for ruining the mood. " NuNew. You're incredibly handsome and beautiful " Nat says a little loud which makes him laugh. " Thank you Nat " he says with a smile. " I hope you know that anytime you say that I will always compliment you. Whenever those bad thoughts come into your head I will say the opposite because those bad thoughts are not the truth. You will get better. Just like you already have started to get better. Even if you don't believe that you have ". He pulls Nat into a hug. " Thank you Nat " he says with a smile. He's grateful for Nat. " You always seem to know the right words to say to me " he says with a little laugh as he pulls away from the hug. " Of course I do. We are the jelly gang after all " Nat says while laughing. Which makes him laugh even more. " Now let me ask you again. Are you ok to wear an outfit that will shoe your scars and burns " Nat asked in a serious voice. He thinks for a little while. He knows that it will be uncomfortable for a bit but it will also help him work to recovering. So he nods his head and says " I'm ok to wear clothes that'll show them ". He sees Nat look at him with a questioning look. So he smiles at Nat and says " I'm sure that I'm ok Nat. Don't worry ". Nat continues to look at him for a bit before he turns to grab a white tank top. Nat sets it down on top of the dresser before pulling out a black button up shirt. As well as a pair of black jean shorts to match the button down shirt. Nat grabs the clothes and gives them to him. " Go put these on in the bathroom ok. I'll wait out here for you while you are getting dressed " Nat says a little excited. Which makes him laugh.
When NuNew gets into the bathroom he quickly changes into the outfit. The black shorts only go down to his lower thighs. For his top he's tucked the white tank top into his shorts while the black button up shirt is opened. The black button up shirt is big on him. Going lower then his waist.
NuNew has never worn an outfit like this before in his life. So it makes him nervous to see how everyone will react to him wearing this type of outfit. When he looks into the mirror to look at himself. He realizes that his scars and burns are showing on his body. it's the most he's ever shown his scars or burns while wearing an outfit. You can see the scars on his chest, arms and even on his legs. " This is part of recovery. You can forget about it after a while. You can do this NuNew " he says to himself before walking out of the bathroom.
As soon as he's back into his room he sees Nat looking at him with a huge smile. " Are you sure this will look good Nat " he asks. Not wanting to look bad. Especially since all eyes are on him recently. " NuNew you literally look so amazing in that outfit oh my gosh ". He smiles a little bit. A light shade of pink spreading across his face because of the compliment. " Oh my god did I just make you blush " Nat says as he quickly walks over to him. He immediately covers his face. " No you didn't. It's just warm in here. After all you said it's going to be really hot today ". Nat laughs before pulling his hands away from his face. " NuNew you have really pretty eyes. And your cheeks are so puffy it's really cute " Nat says clearly complimenting him in order to make him blush. Which he successfully does. " Oh my god I really can make you blush. I have to tell the others " Nat says the last part excitedly as he rushes out of the room. He runs right after him. " Nat stop! Don't say anything! I'm begging you please " he shouts as he reaches the living room. Immediately catching everyone's attention. " No I have to! It's so cute and funny " Nat shouts as he runs behind Max. " Are you guys arguing with each other or teasing each other again " Max asked as he rushes behind him trying to grab ahold of Nat. However when Nat shouts for Net to help him he gets held back. " Let me go P'Net. Let me go now " he shouts. Trying to get out from Net's grasp. " Guys! I just found out something that NuNew does! Whenever he gets compliments he starts to blush! It's so cute " Nat says loudly. He immediately shouts " That's not true! He's lying to you guys ". He hears Nat laugh. " You know NuNew. You are really kind to us all and I'm glad that you're our friend ". He bites his lip trying hard to stop himself from possibly blushing. " Hia help me. Don't just stand there and watch " he pleads, looking over to Zee. Who just shakes his head and starts to laugh. " NuNew would always get really red whenever people start to give him several compliments on his singing " his dad joins in on the teasing.
" Dad " he shouts frustrated that he's joining in on the teasing. " NuNew your voice is so pretty that you could pass for a professional artist if you really wanted to " Nat says. Shortly after Jimmy says " Your music sounds so amazing. Not only can you sing but you can also write really great song ". He starts to try really hard to get away and out of Nets grasps. When it does he runs and hides behind Zee. Making everyone laugh. When Zee turns around to look at him he says " When recording your own song you looked so pretty and it seemed like you were a professional ". That's all it took for his face to become bright red. He hits Zee's chest. " You're mean " he says while looking down. Trying to hide his blushing face from everyone. Zee walks behind him and gently forces his head up to show everyone. He quickly covers his face with his hands in order to not show them. However Zee grabs both of his hands with one of his hands. He tries to turn around but Zee just holds him still. " And I now present to you a flustered NuNew. Which I personally find really adorable " Zee says. The others start to tease him and call him adorable as well. So when he sees the chance he bites into Zee's hand shocking him. Which gives him the chance to run away from him. " Wow he bites people when he's flustered as well. That's really funny " Nat says. Which makes him stop in his tracks. As soon as he turns around he sees Nat become nervous. " Nat! You really think you can just embarrass me like this without me getting my revenge " he says loudly. He smirks when he sees Nat freeze. " Whenever me and Nat would have our personal talks about how we are glad to have each other he never fails to talk and mention about a certain someone. That person being P'Max. You're so in love with him you always mention him in your talks that we have together " he says laughing. " When he told me how he became apart of the group he said that this really handsome and scary looking person came and invited him to sit at his table with his friends. Saying how after that he became attached to P'Max. You're so in love with him Nat. You're crazy in love " he says loudly making the others laugh. He sees Nat's face become red. " You're also crazy in love NuNew! You're always saying how he makes you so flustered! You once told me ". He interrupts him. " I swear to for Nat if you finish that sentence you will regret it so much " he says. Which makes Nat stop talking immediately. " You both are incredibly feisty when embarrassed " Net says. Making both him and Nat turn to him and about " Shut up " loudly at the same time. Zee walks over to him and grabs ahold of him. While Max does the same thing to Nat. " Alright you to. We won't tease you anymore so calm down and stop fighting with each other " Zee says. " Oh we weren't fighting. We were teasing each other " Nat says. " That was you guys teasing each other? What's going to happen when you are actually arguing with each other " Jimmy says shocked. " A real war will happen " he said shrugging his shoulders. " Probably won't ever happen though because we are so alike and always thinking the same " Nat says. He nods his head agreeing with Nat.
" You both are so weird and crazy. It's really funny " Tommy says. They all laugh.
" It's 12:00 pm you all should head to the mall if you really want to be able to see everything there " his dad says. Catching all of their attention. " You guys should all be back here at 7:00 pm because we are planning a large meal for your last night here. Also make sure you guys are all careful now that the media knows who you are. So if anything happens call me right away NuNew " his father says. He nods and says
" Ok dad. We will be back by 7:00 pm and if anything major happens I'll make sure to call you right away ". His dad smiles before saying goodbye to them as they walk outside and to their cars. They all quickly drive to the mall. Wanting to spend as much time as they can there. Enjoying each other's company.
