TIME SEEMS TO PASS FASTER. There's a terrible feeling that hit's Nina's chest when the two of them are forced to pull away from their sole source of comfort - even though it hasn't even been an hour since they died in Titan (to them, at least. For Tony, it was an agonizing five years.) hugging Tony, desperately clutching his arms gives them both a sense of comfort.

"I love seeing the three of you like this, but -"

"Pepper!" Nina cries in glee, mouth twitching upwards at the sight of one of the women she'd admired the most. "You're here!" tugging herself out of the group hug, her right-hand waves at the blonde woman. There's something oddly comforting about the fact that there are finally familiar faces around her - not just the static and too serious looks of the other Avengers she's encountered.

"Pete, you know Pep," Tony points at the blonde woman. Peter, who isn't as acquainted with her as Nina was, softly waves.

"Nice seeing you two. But..." Pepper grins until that giddy look is replaced with seriousness in an instant when she points towards the battlefield, where a giant, ape-like creature is trudging towards them as fast as it could; almost like a bowling ball on its way to hit a bunch of pins.

"I got it," Nina holds her hand in front of Peter, who is about to shoot the creature, remembering that the boy needs to save his web fluid as much as he could. "Gotta save your weird web stuff, right?"

Peter gapes. She's so pretty, eyes lit up with that familiar white glow, as she killed the alien with a single word, with that devilish little look in her eye. It was enough to make him freeze, his shoulders stiffening as his hands paused mid-air. While that was enough to turn him into a blushing mess, the boy had also realized that Nina remembered - she remembered him and she remembers the way that he needs to preserve his webs as much as possible and it almost melts him into a puddle.

Tony smirked, proud of himself as he saw the faint blush appear across the back of Peter's neck. It moved upwards, covering his ears that peaked out from beneath his hair. He vividly recalls the bet he's made with Rhodey five years ago - and now his friend owes him 20 dollars.

"I gotta deal with a bunch of shit, but..." Tony taps both of their shoulders, iron mask retreating to protect him. "We'll all talk later. Catch up and tell me whatever this," he motions between Nina and Peter, "means."

The teenager in Peter wants to scream at Tony - MR. STARK, NINA KISSED ME! TWICE! TECHNICALLY I KISSED HER BUT SHE KISSED ME BACK - but the superhero part of him was stressing that they were in the middle of a war, so, he'd save it for later when everything was over and done.

Nina's eyes scan her surroundings, slightly wincing when she sees another Avenger, Hawkeye (she was never really interested in the Avengers when she was under Illiana's wing, so she never bothered to learn his name) get slammed into the ground by an alien a few feet away. No one is helping him, and he has the fucking gauntlet in his hand.
