Finding and Changing Emily

Chapter 10: Emily

Just great, now Daniel was mad at me and thought I didn't like him. My life was so messed up. I just found a way to get my life back together and I ruined it. Maybe my father was right, I did ruin everything. I decided that I would no longer be a burden to these people. I wrote a quick note to Amanda, telling her to tell Daniel that I was sorry and to thank their parents for the help. Then, climbing out the window, I made the three story jump and ran into the woods.
I ran for about two hours before I stopped at a river. The current didn't look that bad, semi strong but I thought that I would be able to walk through it. I stepped in, but the water current was too strong. I tried to walk but the water pushed me down and I couldn't swim. I screamed but I knew that there was no one there to help me. I tried to grab a hold of a branch but, I missed. Then, a rock came by, I grabbed it holding on tightly. My foot slipped into a crack. When I tried to pull it out, something cut me. My blood soon, began to color the water red. Whenever the waves would hit me, more blood came out. So this was how I was going to die. At least I had a good run. So what if it hadn't been the best life, at least it would be over soon.
"Emily!!!" A voice called out.
Daniel came out of the woods at the same place that I had.
"EMILY?!" he called again.
He looked and saw me. He dashed over to the side of the river.
"What the hell do you think your doing?" He yelled.
Just great now he was going to try to save me again.
"Go away, I don't need your help!" I screamed at him.
His face turned angry. "Your so stubborn, let me help you!"
I wanted help but I couldn't ask him too. I kicked the rock and the damn thing moved.
"Daniel!" I screamed as water pushed me down.
I knew then, that I was going to die.
