Being with Daniel in the pool was one of the best times in my life. He was so sweet and he cared about me but, he also wanted me to learn how to do things. When he made me trust him in the water, he didn't know it was much more than that. To him, it was just to trust him to get me when I swam out but to me, it was more of if I could really trust him. Could I remove old prejudice after all that has happen? After washing the chlorine out of my hair, I got out and put on my red nightgown. I pulled my hair into a messy bun and left the room. Daniel was laying on the bed reading.
"What are you reading?" I asked him.
"Just an old journal that I wrote a few years ago." He said setting the book aside.
"Can I see it?" I asked.
"Sure, here." he handed me the book.
I flipped through it, looking at to dates. This was written in the year of 1902.
"Wow, this is super cool. Why do you write stuff down?"
"Memories change in our minds over time. It's easier to write everyday down and go back later."
I nodded and handed it back to him.
"Do you want to go hunting? You must be thirsty. You haven't eaten in a while." Daniel asked.
"No!" I yelled.
"Emily if you don't eat you'll just become more hungry."
I shook my head. "Daniel I won't become blood crazy again. I won't take anymore human lives."
Didn't he understand? I had killed people, taken away people from their families.
"I will be with you. I won't let you get away I promise." He said.
"Then let's go away from here. I don't want to feed around places with so much human life."
"Okay, let's go." He said.
"Hang on, I need change my clothes. I don't want to get my new outfit dirty."
He rolled his eyes and waited while I changed my clothes. I slipped on a T shirt and a pair of shorts. I then put on s pair of shoes. Then I was ready. When I rejoined Daniel, he opened up the bedroom window and jumped down. I stood there hesitantly.
"I don't know if I can do it." I called down to Daniel.
"Yes you can Emily, just jump."
I took a deep breath and jumped. I sped towards the ground and stopped suddenly, landing on my feet. However I forgot to kinda run when I touched the ground that I fell on my butt. Daniel doubled over in laughter.
"It's not funny." I said.
He reached his hand out for me to take.
"It was kinda funny love."
I brushed my butt off and glared at him.
"Emily, I'm sorry." He said.
"Mmmmh I bet." I said. "Let's go."
Daniel grabbed my hand and we took off. We were running faster that the speed of light. When we came to a small river, we jumped over it, going about 35 feet in the air. When we landed, we took off running again.
"Where are we going?" I asked him.
"Up to Canada. There are tons of wildlife places with little to no human life." He replied.
We continued running for about 10 more minutes before we stopped. I was amazed that I had been able to go that long even as a vampire. Daniel lead me into a forestry area and then stopped.
"Close your eyes and tell me what you smell." He said.
I did as he said and waited. Soon I began to smell the most delicious thing in the world. It was a bear. I ran towards it, with my teeth bared and sunk my teeth into its flesh. The bear slowly died and when I went to move onto my next victim, Daniel pinned his arms around my back.
"Emily, remember who you are." He whispered.
Something snapped in me and I looked at him. He was freaking out and I began to cry.
"What did I do?" I asked.
"Nothing yet. You looked like you were ready for the kill."
"I felt myself turning into a blood crazy person." I muttered.
Blood was all over me and I felt like crying. Daniel took my face in his hand and kissed me. I wrapped my arms around him, pulling my body closer to him. He grabbed my butt and pulled me up so that my legs were wrapped around him. He pushed us against a tree and licked my neck. His hand lightly stroked my breast threw my shirt. I moaned in pleasure. I needed him. I put my hand under his shirt, scratching at his chest.
"Let's go home." He muttered huskily.
I nodded and we raced towards home.
