Shit! Daniel was going to kill me. I brought Emily out so we could go hunting and what happened? I fucking lost her! I tried to smell her out but vampire scents don't last long. I pulled my phone out and called James.
"Hey babe." he said.
"James please tell me that Emily is home?"
"No." He said.
"Fuck! Daniel is so going to kill me!"
He growled and hung up the phone. I knew he would be here and that would be helpful. He arrived five minutes later and put his arms around me.
"Call him." He said.
I dialed his number and he pick up on the forth ring.
"Yes?" He said.
"Um, hey so um, Emily is gone and um, I don't know where she is."
"What?" He bellowed into the phone. How did that happen? She's a newborn vampire and she's running around!"
I knew he was right. Emily could be anywhere by now. And because of how blood lust worked in vampires she would kill someone and then her human emotions would come later.
"Look, help me find her?" I asked.
"Well duh of course." He said. "I'm almost to you."
He hung up and two seconds later he was right there with us.
"Let's go." He said.
"Where are we going?" James asked.
"Emily's old house isn't far from here. She might have gotten curious and decided to see it."
I followed right behind him, knowing that it made sense.
We arrived at the small shack that Emily grew up in. I couldn't believe that this was a place that someone would want to come back too.
Daniel walked in and saw a body on the floor.
"A dead vampire. Emily was here. Her sent is all over this man and his blood is gone. She's gone blood crazy."
I couldn't help but let out a small cry. James held my hand and Daniel looked at the floor. It was hard to even attempt to understand what he was feeling. I touched his arm but he yanked it away.
"I swear to God, if you hurt her," James started.
"Then it will be easy to die if Emily's dead, won't it." He snarled.
"Daniel, I'm sorry."
"Amanda, I don't want to hear it."
He took off and I followed. Where the hell could she be?
