When Amanda opened the door, I was shocked at how gorgeous Emily looked. She looked like a sex goddess and she didn't even know it. I knew that all the men in the restaurant were going to be looking at my Emily. It takes a lot to shut me up but that was one of them.
"Wow, Emily you look amazing!"
She blushed and smiled. "Thank you. Amanda did it."
I looked at Amanda briefly, to which she smiled, then back at Emily.
"Are you ready to go?" I asked her.
She nodded and moved towards me. I reached for her hand and sighed when she grabbed mine.
"Now I want her back here at 11 mister." Amanda said jokingly.
"Yes ma'am." I said.
Then Emily and I walked down the stairs. She almost tripped in her heels but attempted to act like she didn't so I didn't comment. We went to the driveway where my father was allowing me to use his convertible. I opened the door to the car for her and she blushed. I moved quickly around the car and got in.
"You do look amazing tonight." I told her.
"Thanks. Amanda might have enjoyed it a bit to much." She said.
I laughed. Amanda had been pulling her hair out trying to make Emily look perfect. I touched her hand as I drove. It was quiet but it wasn't akward, it was more of the fact that I was in total awe.
"Where are we going?" She asked.
"We are going to a restaurant called Ella's."
It was a very expensive steak house that I knew she would love. I also knew that she had no idea where it was. I smiled at her.
"What's your favorite color?" I asked.
"Sea turtle green." She said.
I loved her voice.
"Favorite book?"
"Romeo and Juliet." She answered.
"Why?" I asked.
How could someone love a book that showed the characters dying? It didn't make any sense to me.
"The way that they still want to be together even though they are not allowed. And the way that nothing can keep them apart. Not even death in the end."
She was indeed right when I thought about it.
I pulled into the parking lot and opened the door for her. She blushed again. I held her hand as we walked inside. The hostess looked at me when we arrived and smiled warmly at me.
"Hi, welcome to Ella's. Do you have a reservation?"
"Yes, Daniel, table for two."
She looked at Emily with envy and then back at me.
"Okay, right this way." She said.
Men and boys everywhere were looking at my Emily as we walked. I felt a possessive growl come from me. Emily looked at me but said nothing.
"Here you are sir. Your waiter will be right out." She said.
I helped Emily sit down then sat across from her.
"Daniel, this place looks very expensive."
I smiled. "Yes, it is. Do you like it? I've never been here before."
"Yes, it's beautiful but,"
I stopped her. "Don't worry about anything okay?"
"Will you be able to, you know, eat?"
"Yes, I will. We can eat food it's just a little weaker taste."
The waiter came out and smiled at Emily, looking at her chest. I cleared my throat and he looked at me.
"Hi, my name is Keith. What will you have to drink?"
I looked at Emily "I'll have water please." She said.
He tore his eyes from Emily and looked at me. "And you?"
"Water as well."
He smiled at Emily before leaving. Emily heard me growl again and she touched my hand across the table.
"Why do you keep doing that?"
"All these men in here, are looking at you, fantasying about you but, your mine."
She blushed. "If it makes you feel any better not one of them is cute to me."
It did make me feel a little better.
"Have you decided what you want?"
Even though she wasn't interested in any of the men here I didn't want that boy to keep coming here. She opened the menu and looked through it.
"Daniel, all this stuff is over $35. Why,"
I cut her off again. "I don't care. Either you order something or I'll do it for you. Money doesn't matter to me."
A minute later the waiter came back with our water and asked. "Do you know what you want?"
I looked at Emily, ready to order for her if she said nothing.
"I'll have the 3oz filet mignon."
"Is a potato and salad ok?"
She nodded and looked at the floor. He kept staring at her, so I cleared my throat.
"I'll have a 12oz rare steak with a potato and salad." He nodded.
Emily waited until the man left to look at me.
"I don't like him." She said.
"Me either." I said with a smile.
When our salads came, Emily looked at the floor again until he left. While I ate, Emily watched me.
"What, have you never seen somebody eating a salad before?"
She smiled and laughed a little.
"No, not a vampire. It's weird."
I flashed my teeth a her although she couldn't see my fangs.
When our entrées came, Emily's eyes widened at the amount of food that was placed in front of her.
"This is enough food for a week!" She said.
I smiled and began to cut my steak. Emily looked at me and began to do the same. I watched her as she took her first bite. She smiled as the flavors began to mellow. She closed her eyes as she chewed.
"It's good." She said.
"I know." I replied.
We ate in a conformable silence. I finished all my food while Emily only finished her steak. The waiter came back, took our plates and asked if we needed anything else. I told him no.
It was only 7 so I decided that maybe she would like to take a walk.
"Do you want to go take a walk?" I asked.
"Sure, let me just go to the bathroom."
While she was gone, I paid the bill. It was only $156 which was very cheap. I had brought $600 dollars with me just in case Emily decided that she would want something. I would have to get her use to me spending money on her. She came back and had a worried look in her eye.
"What?" I asked.
She shook her head and pointed to our waiter. I instantly got the message. I went over to Emily and whispered in her ear.
"Just nod your head. Did he touch you?"
She shook her head no.
"He asked me to meet him later after his shift is over."
I nodded, kissed her head and told her to sit down. I made my way towards the bathroom and then I saw him there, making out with a girl. I tapped on his shoulder and the girl blushed and left.
"Yes sir?" He asked.
I tuned his head to the side and snapped his neck. How dare he speak to Emily then go make out with that girl.
"She says no." And then I wiped his memory and called for help. He wouldn't die, he would just be warned. Then I went to Emily, grabbed her hand and we left to go to the park.
