Y/n Pov.

Waving Charlie off, I waited outside for Bella to appear, gazing absently at the road ahead. Moments later, the car door opened and the one and only person I had been looking forward to seeing slipped into the car with a soft, effortless smile. "Good morning, how are you today?"

"Good, thank you." She responded politely whilst I noticed deep bags under her eyes.

"You look tired." I felt my concern rapidly mount for no reason.

"I couldn't sleep," she confessed, automatically swinging her hair around her shoulder; to hide I assume.

"Neither could I," I teased, causing her to laugh.

"I guess that's right. I suppose I slept just a little bit more than you did."

"I'd wager you did."

"So what did you do last night?" She asked with a bit of a smirk.

I let out a chuckle. "Not a chance. It's my day to ask questions."

"Oh, that's right. What do you want to know?" She frowned a little gazing distantly in thought.

"What's your favorite color?" I asked, flicking my eyes over to her.

Her eyes rolled, a goofy smile on her lips. "It changes from day to day."

"What's your favorite color today?"

"Probably brown."

I huffed, looking over at her. "Brown?" I asked skeptically.

"Sure. Brown is warm. I miss brown. Everything that's supposed to be brown - tree trunks, rocks, dirt - is all covered up with squashy green stuff here," she complained.

I was fascinated by her little rant; risking a gaze into her warm eyes.

"You're right," I decided. "Brown is warm." I found myself reaching over, still a little hesitant, an flicking her hair out of her face.

We were at the school by now. Turned turned back to her as I pulled into a parking space.

"Shall we?"
"We shall."
Getting out, I nudged her playfully and she in turn messed up my hair, "Hey! That was a lot of work!" But I laughed, rolling my eyes as we entered the building.

It continued like that for the rest of the day. In between classes, I would ask her about every little detail I could think of, enjoying every moment of conversation.

A few times I asked something, like what did she find cute, and it would trigger a mumble and a blush; but I decided not to press it this time, considering how much I was interrogating her.

But when I did flush, it brought on a whole new round of questions.

Except when I asked her why her favorite gemstone was emerald, considering how she blushed.

"Tell me," My persuasion failing, I resorted to a more direct tone..

"It's the color that most is of your eyes today," She sighed, surrendering, staring down at her hands as she fiddled with a piece of her hair. "I suppose if you asked me in two weeks I'd say purple gemstone; considering your eyes tend to be more purple..." My heart did a little involuntary skip, hiding a blush she was too busy hiding to notice; so I fired off the next question.

"What kinds of flowers do you prefer?"

Bella pov

Biology was a complication again. Y/N had continued with his quizzing up until Mr. Banner entered the room, dragging the audiovisual frame again. As the teacher approached the light switch, I noticed Y/n slide his chair slightly farther away from mine. It didn't help. As soon as the room was dark, there was the same electric spark, the same restless craving to stretch my hand across the short space and touch his luke-warm skin, as yesterday.
