I want you...forever.

After a playful evening of being a shadow and teasing poor Bella out of her mind. I was amused, one particular event causing me to chuckle.

"You are a terrible actress — I'd say that career path is out for you." Chuckling  as I brushed a hand through  her damp hair.

"Darn it," she muttered. Her heart was crashing in my chest. "You are enjoying this way too much, aren't you?"

"Eyup," Chuckling as she purred in my hand, I thought for a moment, humming a melody I had written; a lullaby. However, it soon turned to another Q and A as she fought off the sleep.

I'd just been musing to myself in her desk chair when she woke, being startlingly loud; and if it hadn't been for the fact I'd snuck out, properly introduced myself to Charlie, fed him a lie about doing work with Bella for school, and that he left and hour ago; it would have surely painted the wrong picture as soon as he heard. Yes, I know; call me paranoid; I do not care.

"Y/n! You stayed!" She cried as she threw herself across the room and into my lap. Her arms instantly wrapped around me.

She froze as she stared up at me, afraid that she had crossed the wrong line. Except she'd done the exact opposite.

I  laughed.

"Of course," came my answered, startled, but pleased by her reaction. My hands rubbed her back as I fought to contain my butterflies.

She cautiously lay her head against my shoulder, breathing in.

"I was sure it was a dream."

"You're not that creative," I scoffed.

"Charlie!" She eventually seemed to remembered, thoughtlessly jumping up again and heading to the door.

I chuckled, explain everything to her. "Besides, he left an hour ago — after reattaching your battery cables, I might add."

She looked conflicted, confused even. "You're not usually this confused in the morning," I spoke softly, held my arms open for her to return. I was myself, somewhat hesitant.

"I need another human minute," she admitted.

"I'll wait." I watched as she skipped out; and I contemplated what I was going to ask her after she returned. I also had the chance to mull over what she had said in her sleep. How she truely felt about me. I'll be honest, I was a tornado of emotions. Fear, joy, hesitation, caution, relief, adoration, love...I was a mess.

She returned a little while later, her arms wrapping around me from behind. I tensed before relaxing into her safe embrace. "Welcome back."

Turning, I wrapped my own arms around her, softly. It was peaceful

"You left?" She accused, touching the collar of my fresh shirt.

"I could hardly leave in the clothes I came in — what would the neighbors think?"

She pouted, making my heart throb.

"You were very deeply asleep; I didn't miss anything." Barely suppressing a smirk, a teasing tone in my voice. "The talking came earlier."

She groaned. "What did you hear?"

 "You said you loved me."

"You knew that already," she spoke softly, ducking her head.

"It was nice to hear, just the same."

I hid my face in her hair, the feelings not entirely unfamiliar but still distinctly foreign.

"I love you," She whispered.

"You are my life now," I answered, hoping my tone conveyed more than the words did.

There was nothing more to say for the moment. Stayed wrapped up as the room grew lighter.

"Breakfast time," I said eventually, casually — to prove that I remembered all her human
frailties.

I was shocked when she covered her neck and looked at me in alarm; forgetting the steady pulse of her heart.

"Kidding!" She snickered. "And you said I couldn't act!"

He frowned, hiding a smile. "That wasn't funny."

"It was very funny, and you know it." Her green eyes examined mine in her periphery, making sure I was ok.

"Shall I rephrase?" I asked, chuckling. "Breakfast time for the human."

"Oh, okayyy."

The kitchen was bright, happy, seeming to absorb my mood.

"What's for breakfast?" She asked pleasantly.

'Oh shit, um-'

"Er, I'm not sure. What would you like?" I scratched the back of my head nervously.

I wasn't prepared for when she grinned, hopping up.

"That's all right, I fend for myself pretty well. Watch me hunt."

She quickly sorted herself out some cereal, pausing before she sat.

"Can I get you anything?" I asked.

I rolled my eyes, plucking an apple from the fruit stand. "Just eat, Bella."

She sat across from me, my occasional glance enough to unsettle her until I gazed out the window.

"What's on the agenda for today?" She asked, fidgeting slightly. I decided now would be the perfect chance to propose my idea.

"Hmmm..." Pausing for effect, I leaned forward lazily on one arm. "What would you say to meeting my family?"

She gulped and her heartrate picked up.

"Are you afraid now?" Even too myself I sounded hopeful.

"Yes," She admitted, even her eyes betraying her.

"Don't worry." I smirked. "I'll protect you."

"I'm not afraid of them," She explained. "I'm afraid they won't... like me. Won't they be, well, surprised that you would bring someone... like me... home to meet them? Do they know that I know about them?"

"Oh, they already know everything. They'd taken bets yesterday, you know" — I  smiled, wondering if she remembered what I told her about everyone's powers and the theory behind how we get them — "on whether I'd bring you back, though why anyone would bet against Alice, I can't imagine. At any rate, we don't have secrets in the family. It's not really feasible, what with Edwards mind reading and Alice seeing the future and all that."

"And Jasper making you feel all warm and fuzzy about spilling your guts, don't forget that."

"You paid attention," I smiled approvingly.

"I've been known to do that every now and then." She grimaced. "So did Alice see me coming?"

His reaction was strange. "Yes and no," I explained looking at her curious  eyes. "She only saw you clearly after you and I met, and I stopped Ed."

"Is that any good?" I asked, eyeing her breakfast teasingly. "Honestly, it doesn't look very appetizing."

"Well, it's no but it's filling" she murmured.

I decided to give her some heat after her questions.

"And you should introduce me to your father, too, I think."

"He already knows you," She reminded me.

"As your boyfriend, I mean."

She did a spit take, eyeing me with suspicion. "Why?"

"Isn't that customary?" I asked innocently.

"I don't know," She paused, "that's not necessary, you know. I don't expect you to... I mean,
you don't have to pretend for me."

I smiled, placing a hand gently on hers. "I'm not pretending."

She looked down at our hands, biting her lip.

"Are you ok to tell Charlie I'm your boyfriend or not?" I asked gently.

"Is that what you are?" She asked, and I felt a little chip at my heart that I ignored.

"It's a loose interpretation of the word 'boy,' I'll admit."

"I was under the impression that you were something more, actually," She confessed, looking at the table. Now I understood what she meant.

"Well, I don't know if we need to give him all the gory details." I reached across the table to lift her chin with gentle finger. "But he will need some explanation for why I'm around here so much. I don't want Chief Swan getting a restraining order put on me."

"Will you be?" she asked, suddenly anxious. "Will you really be here?"

"As long as you want me, and as long as I'm safe enough to be around you. Not in a shift." I assured her, still not fully confident with my ability to control my shifting.

"I'll always want you," She  warned me. "Forever."

I got up, siting on the counter beside her  gently.

"Does that make you sad?" she asked.

I didn't answer. The truth is, yes it did a bit. But we were happy now, I was happy now; and I wasn't going to sour my experience with a thought of the future.

"Are you finished?" I finally asked.

She jumped up. "Yes."

"Get dressed — I'll wait here."

It was a short bit later she reemerged; taking my breath away.

"Okay." She bounced down the stairs. "I'm decent."

"You look stunning, casual, but stunning." I corrected as I headed to the door.
