I stood in a familiar setting. The forest, however was dark. There was something off, the tree's were dying, the animals were sickly and as I walked through the dream, the air was ill; as if someone had poisoned my favorite haven. I watched as someone dragged a body into a clearing, and I instantly felt my blood boil. This wasn't a good sign as I had just gone through a shift. My emotions were more out of control than what I would have liked to admit, Father had even given me something to help, but I wasn't sure it was working. Bella was being dragged across the forest floor, blood pouring out of several wounds on her torso and arms. At first, I wanted nothing more than to run to her and help. Turn her even. But the thought crossed my mind, would she want that? Would I want that for her? This hellish existence between life and death. Would she even want to look at me if she knew what I was? I was torn from my thoughts as the person who dragged her chuckled. I was looking at a much older Jacob, but still Jacob none the less. Now, all I wanted to do was tear him apart slowly. "You are pathetic, you couldn't even save her...what a shame. Now, what will you do if I stop the last of her life out?"
He raised his foot and began to bring it down on her windpipe. "NO!" Roaring with rage, I woke up as my dreamself leapt. I must have been quiet loud and sat up violently as most of the family rushed in and poor Natsuki was thrown almost clean off the bed, barking at me indignantly.
"Y/n?" Alices gentle voice broke the tense silence, all I could do was shake my head as my body shudder, tears threating my eyes. "Another nightmare?" Carlisle asked tenderly, again, all I could do was nod.
"I'll stay with him..." I heard Alice say as she sat on my bed, pulling me into a soft, cool hug. I cried against my older sister silently as the footsteps faded. When I had control over myself, I spilled to her what had happened in my nightmare. She frowned but didn't say anything, something I was glad for as I just enjoyed the silence and comfort my sister gave. It was then again I realized how lucky I was to have Alice as my sister, because if she wasn't in my corner, no one else was. And I probably would be dead. It would be a while before I went to school again, Carlisle decided it would be best if I took some time to recover.
In my most recent shift, I had been allowed out into the night and had gotten into a fight with several predators throughout the night and it had caused quiet a bit of damage to myself. Further, with the training on using my powers and school, I was looking far worse for wear....
With the sunny spell coming on, none of us would dare venture into the town; staying on the property and hunting, enjoying family time and in the case of myself, healing.
