They all went inside and Sam then called Sarah over to help out. Bucky then sat with Y/N on the couch, just comforting her the best he could.
"You're okay. You're okay," he whispered soothingly before kissing her forehead.
"Who are these people? Why are they after the twins?" she asked softly.
"I don't know, baby. But I promise that they won't succeed in doing this. I would want to die if you three were gone," Bucky promised.
Y/N managed a small smile before hugging his waist then saying, "I don't want you to die, but I know you would do anything for me and our babies."
"You're damn right I would," he stated, gently placing a hand on her belly, then added, "I love you."
"I love you too," she responded.
"Now let me see that wound," Bucky requested.
Y/N nodded and repositioned herself to show the wound.
"Luckily, it's small and there's not much bleeding. But I'll get the first aid kit," he told her.
"Alright, Dr. Barnes," she lightly teased, making Bucky chuckle.
Not long after, he came back and had it cleaned and wrapped up. Then they heard a knock at the door. Sam went to answer it and opened it to see Sarah there.
"Hey, thanks for coming," Sam told her as she came in.
"You're welcome. But I feel bad that I didn't come today. I called her and we talked a bit, her saying I didn't have to come over," Sarah said.
"You think she was held hostage while you two were on the phone?" he wondered.
"I don't think so. She was pretty happy when I called and I would've been able to tell if she was held hostage," she answered.
"Well, can you sit with her for a minute? I need to talk to Bucky," Sam requested.
"Sure," Sarah nodded.
She then went to the couple, who looked up when sensing her presence.
"Sam needs to talk to you. I can sit with her for a bit," Sarah offered.
"Sure," Bucky said, pecked Y/N's lips, then replied to her, "I'll be back."
"Okay," Y/N nodded with a small smile.
He then got up and went to Sam as Sarah sat by Y/N and gave her sisterly hug. The two men glanced at them in concern.
"What are we gonna do? This was the third time we had an ambush, two with Y/N, one which we thought was about that Hydra computer and one of them was in our own home," Bucky replied.
"I know. And it's worse that they're attacking the twins and they aren't even born yet," Sam added.
"But why? Who could be this mad at us to do this?" Bucky wondered.
"I don't know, Buck. But it's only a matter of time before they try another attack. We need to find a place safe enough to protect her," Sam said.
"I think I know where that is," Bucky told him.
