Chapter 19: The Babies Are Coming!

Y/N rubbed her belly in content as she just walked around the palace with Shuri.

"May I ask how your husband responded to you when you told him you were pregnant?" Shuri wondered.

"Well, since we were on a mission at the time, he wasn't too thrilled that I still wanted to help while being pregnant. But after a little time apart, he realized how important it was to me to keep going and I wasn't fully pregnant like now," Y/N answered.

"I can understand why he would believe that at first, but you are not helpless," Shuri told her then wondered, "If you also don't mind this question, what would your brother have done?"

"Oh he wouldn't let me out of the house. At least Bucky was willing to let me keep going on missions until I was six months pregnant. But that changed when one of the men we fought cut my belly a bit and I was rushed to the hospital where we found out I was having twins. But overall, Steve would've just been happy to be an uncle," Y/N explained.

"That's good to know," Shuri told her.

"Yeah. I just hope that everything goes well," Y/N replied.

"You're worried you will not make it through childbirth?" Shuri asked.

"That or the babies won't survive," Y/N added sadly then went on, "I know it's not right to think that, but I'm just being realistic."

"While it is important to be that, it is also important to have more hope. I understand you do, but you need more than from yourself," Shuri told her.

Y/N smiled and said, "Thank you, Shuri. That means a lot."

"You are most welcome," Shuri told her.

They continued walking for a while when Y/N stopped. She felt wet as she held her belly a bit tighter.

"What is wrong?" Shuri asked, going to her in concern.

"I think...I think the babies are coming," Y/N answered calmly.

"We need to get you to the medical wing," Shuri said then said in her com, "I need assistance bringing F/C Raven to the medical wing now."

She then switched it over to her brother's com where he was training outside in his black panther suit.

"Brother," Shuri said.

"What is it, Shuri?" T'Challa asked.

"Mrs. Barnes is going into labor. You need to contact White Wolf," she told him.

"Alright," T'Challa nodded as he started running for the front of the palace.

(A/N With T'Challa being an Avenger, it would make sense for him to contact them.)

Shuri helped get Y/N as much as she could toward the medical wing when servants rushed over to them with a bed prepared.

"Get her to the medical wing," Shuri said and they obeyed as she followed closely behind.

As this happened, Y/N pressed the button she had on her, hoping Bucky would get it.
