Chapter 29 - Friends

No, Taehyung was absolutely not ready, sweat broke down to his temple as he stared at tiles in the hallway, hand tightly clutched with Jungkook's while the alpha was literally walking him to class with all the students looking at them.

It was overwhelming.

"It's going to be alright, Taehyung." Jungkook sighed, leaving the omega's hand only to wrap it around the other's shoulders, pulling him flushed against his side.

"Everyone is going to laugh at me." Taehyung whimpered, his hands were sweaty as he didn't even raise his gaze up just heard whispers and murmurs around leaving feel nothing but jittery, heart squeezing in his chest in a way that fueled up his anxiety— he just wanted to run back home. "I wanna go home."

"Baby…" Jungkook whispered leaning down seeing Taehyung look up at him with his teary blue eyes and wobbling lips, "trust me everyone around is admiring you, you'll have a lot of friends."

"But you told me to be wary of people too." Taehyung pouted.

"Exactly, not everyone is good but not everyone is bad either, you'll find your friends for life here, love." Jungkook explained, hand rubbing on Taehyung's arm wanting to calm the younger, looking around seeing a few students stop and stare at Taehyung some even having their phones out shamelessly recording.

He sighed because honestly, there was nothing he could do. Taehyung was literally trembling in his hold and he didn't know how he could make anything better for the omega.

Students around literally stared like they had seen something taboo and out of the world— which was kind of sensible because Taehyung was the only male omega existing and it surely piped up everyone's interest to witness one walking past them.

"Why are they recording me? I'm not liking it." Taehyung said, voice cracked as he took deep breaths turning his body so he could hide his face in Jungkook's side which made the alpha stop walking. He was literally going to cry, regretting his decision of wanting to live a normal life.

It was better at home where no one treated him like some alien stepped down on earth, he didn't like it here.

"Sweetheart, they aren't just used to seeing you once they get used to it and you settle down then it'll all be normal, please don't be like this." Jungkook's voice was soft and controlled, he looked at the girl with her phone held out, mouthing her to keep it inside which she did with a flush on her face he looked around seeing everyone pocket their phone.

Taehyung peeked out once Jungkook whispered that no one was recording him anymore, he looked around before starting to walk again, head down taking deep breaths letting Jungkook's scent penetrate his respiratory tract.

They walked and Jungkook stopped when he reached in front of Taehyung's class, it was his time to leave Taehyung alone as he looked at the omega who seemed like he'd end up crying as soon as he left.

"Let's go home." Taehyung sniffed, trying to pull Jungkook but the alpha didn't even move from where he was standing.

"Look at me, look here." Jungkook held Taehyung's face making the omega face him squishing his cheeks so his lips puckered out, he smiled before leaning to peck it, his alpha satisfied knowing that half of the crowd around knows the omega has someone to love already. "Baby, it's your dream, would you give up your— our dream over a mere inconvenience?"

Shaking his head Taehyung expressed his denial, cheeks heating up with the fact that Jungkook pecked him in the crowd of a hundred, it gave him the sense of belonging and love, the bubbles in his stomach were almost ready to burst.

"Exactly, that's my strong darling, my strong omega, yeah?" Jungkook chuckled when Taehyung tilted his chin up lips jutting out more so as Taehyung desired, he rewarded the omega with another peck feeling glad that the other was back at smiling. "I'm so proud of you."
