Gabby's POV
•€•
October 6th

"Alright, ladies. We've been training for this competition for three weeks now. I've seen how hard you all have been working and now that you came to give your all," I spoke cheerfully to my girls.

Countless managers and directors would be out in the crowd tonight. I needed them to do well and hopefully land a few deals. A moment we've been waiting for.

"Ms. Gabby. Jade isn't here yet," one of my girls said, nervously.

Jade would be leading the dance and without her it would become sloppy. I knew the rest of the girls worked hard and would be able to pull it off but the dance was made for Jade to lead.

"What do you mean she isn't here yet? We are about to go on," I sighed, turning around to find Maya and ask her is she had seen her.

"Maya, have you seen Jade? She should be here by now," I asked Maya, who already had her hands full. I could already tell by the confusion on her face that she had no idea where she was.

"I haven't. Where could this girl be?" she scoffed, putting her arm over her forehead like she was about to faint.

This was serious but her ass is so dramatic.

I walked outside of the dressing room and called her phone.

"Please, pick up." The phone rang until it went to voicemail. I tried calling three more times but didn't get an answer.

"Maya, do you have her moms contact on her sheet. I'll just call her." I called the number for her moms contact and the number still went to voicemail.

"Gabby, we're next. They're just going to have to go in without her. Maddison can fill in." Maya said all the words that were caught on my tongue because my mind was now jumbled.

"Okay," I sighed, plopping my hands to my sides. Even though I knew Jade needed to do the part, I was confident that Maddison would do it justice.

"Please welcome to the stage.....The Boujee Beauties."

I let my babies pick their own name for each group of dancing.

They entered the stage and I could see the nerves taking over them. They looked around at each other for support, knowing that they'd need it.

Just before the music began, Jade ran past me and right into her spot. Maddison sighed in relief and took her original spot.

All of the girls wanted to be able to lead a dance from time to time but they knew Jade would always get them first place.
