Gabby's POV
•€•
December 10th

Who ever is ringing my bell must live here. It's been 30secs and they've already rung it three times. I'm not even expecting anyone until later on in the day.

I make it to the door and Jordan is smiling like the biggest kid. I open the door and my mood immediately brightens.

"What's up, baby," he pecks my lips and slides in past me. Like I said...whoever it was clearly lives here.

"Nothing, I was just leaving actually," I say and he scrunches his face. He must've gotten a line up this morning because he looks extra sexy. I might just stay home.

"It's early," he pouts as he leans against the island. I realize my eyes are wondering and I look away. He's in the sweats I like.

"Yeah, the girls have a half a day so no classes today. I'm meeting Maya,"

"Oh, you didn't tell me," he says and I chuckle.

"Well sorry, father," I tease and he smirks. He always makes that face when he's about to say some dumb shit.

"I thought you said you'd never call me that," he smirks before he takes a chug out of the water bottle and I subconsciously swallow. He does the smallest things and looks like an absolute god doing it.

"I said I'd never refer to you as Daddy. That's gross," I say playfully rolling my eyes. He knits his brows and gives me a look.

"You're weird," he says. I'm confused now.

"How is that weird? I refer to my father as Daddy," I say and his face is deadpan. I suppress the urge to laugh as I imagine what his next words are.

"Okay, let's end this here," he says as he returns to the fridge and searches for God knows what.

"Exactly," I chuckle as I throw all my things into my bag and put it over my shoulder.

"What are you doing later?" he says as he grabs my ass, making me jump. I roll my eyes and he's smiling.

"Um...nothing. I think," I say turning to him.

"You think?" he asks with a childish smile. He wraps his hands around my waist and keeps his lips only a breath away from mine. He's teasing.

"Actually, I called the sprinkler repair company because I don't know what's wrong with them," I say and the smile fades.

"You called them already?" he asks and I nod. He releases me.

"Yeah...I mean I didn't want to wait and forget," I say. I'm not sure if I'm saying something wrong but the look on his face tells me I am.

"Oh," he replies in a laconic tone.

"What's that face?" I ask as I move back over to him.

"You should've called me," he says.

Oh.

I get it now. He wants to play handy man but I just didn't think of that. I usually just call the guy my dad referred to me when I was having any house issues. It's what I always do.

"I didn't think about that I just-"

"You didn't think about calling me?" he says and he seems insulted.

"Jordan, please," I chuckle but his face is inscrutable. I can't believe he's getting this worked up over this.

"Please, nothing," he says. In situations like this, the only thing I can think of doing is laughing. He has to be joking right now. But I'll comply.
