Jordan's POV
•€•
October 20th"Prince, stop that man!" I shouted.
Prince always barked whenever my phone rang like I couldn't hear it. When he barked, Diamond would begin right after. The sound was far from pleasant.
Gabby told me that she didn't want anything to do with me but she would be out of town all day and she needed me to take Diamond. Maya was on a trip, so she needed me.
I get that she's upset but she really just doesn't understand. I'm just trying to figure this out so this man can get out of my life for good.
"Hey, man," I answered my phone to a buddy of mine who would be flying out here soon. I got a big project and I'm going to need an extra pair of hands.
"How about I don't tell you who it's for until we get there. This way you come with your A game," I chuckled. Bryson was talented but sometimes he was lazy. He also didn't like his time being wasted.
I respect that.
"Man, that means it ain't nobody good." He sucked his teeth.
"It's someone good, I promise. I already told you the price. I wouldn't have you come all the way out here for something stupid. Trust me, man," I sighed, hoping he'd agree.
"Alright, bro. I got you," he mumbled.
Painting was how I made my money. It was something that I had been passionate about since forever. My art is how I access my emotions.
A lot of people don't have a place to escape reality. I do that with my art. I've been blessed to be able to have such great success and be able to create paintings and design rooms for so many big people.
I am in my house studio now, creating a painting for Stephen Curry and his family. I wait until night falls, set the music, and work my magic.
I was almost done, when I realized it was getting late Gabby wasn't back yet. Not going to lie, she was starting to mean so much to me. It's sad because all I do mess things up.
She has this angelic and sweet side to her that always warms me up but she also has a side that is quick to put up a wall when I don't explain things she believes I should.
I'm not sure if she should know everything.
I called on Siri and asked her to dial BigHead❤️
"Jordan," she answered.
"What's up? You on your way?" I asked, wiping the paint from my hands. The way my name sweetly rolled off her tongue always caused a tension to invade my body.
"My car died. I don't know how," she said, with a shaky voice. My ears perked as I heard the slight fear in her voice.
"What do you mean? Did you call a tow truck?" I got up from my chair and headed to my bedroom to change into some sweats. She didn't have to tell me that she needed me. I was going to be prepared.
"My phone is dead and I answered from my Apple Watch. I called the police but they said I'd have to wait a while because most of the officers were tending to the bush fires," she rambled. I grew slightly angry at the fact that she was in need and the people we relied on couldn't help her.
