I snuggled into the pillow before I felt his arm wrap around me, pulling me closer. My head now in his chest as he pulled my leg over him. "I love you," he whispered with his eyes closed.
"Why?" I whispered back and he opened his eyes...

"Mr.Palmer, it's okay if you get up and walk around a little," the nurse smiled. They all walked around here telling me what to do and I would do everything when I was ready.
Every time I opened my eyes a nurse had made their way into my room to ask me the same questions. They also got the same answers.
I only liked being around people when I needed to. Even though my health was in danger, this tore my mood apart.
This bed is uncomfortable as fuck...
"Mr. Jones, did you hear what I said?" She asked and I responded with a soft head nod.
Why is she always smiling...
"Okay, I'll be back in a second to bring you your lunch," she smiled and I faced her.
"I'm good. I think I'll just get some rest. You don't have to come back," I said, my face and tone impassive and she nodded, exiting the room.
Laying there still, four walls enclosing me. The thought dawned on me that this is the first time I've ever been in a hospital bed. I've been in a hospital more times then I could count but a hospital bed no.
The door turned, drawing me from my thoughts and causing me to grow irritated once more. "I thought I said I didn't wan-"
A shy smile greeted me, disarming me as I rested my head back against the pillow. "Hey," she smiled as she stayed between the slightly opened door...nervously.
"Hey. What's up," I smiled. I noticed that it was the only time I smiled. "Don't stand there. Come in," I said and she nodded.
"Okay. How are you feeling? You okay?" She said quietly and my eyebrows arched. My mind swelled trying to read her. She didn't seem like herself and her unfamiliar sense of self consciousness daunted me.
"I'm feeling better," I said feigning enthusiasm. She smiled as she walked towards the bench that sat before the window. Sitting down and rubbing her hands over her thighs. I watched her...perplexed.
"I'm not staying long. I don't want to bother you. I just wanted to um-"
"You don't bother me," I blurted out. "Why would you think you're bothering me?" I asked as I watched her features soften, her tenseness narrowing. She sighed after the 30 second delay to my question.
"I just spoke to one of the nurses and she said you weren't having a good day. I know this is hard for you and I don't want to like...um trigger something or make it harder. I don't know how that works but," she rambled but all I could do was smirk.
Her cute ass
"Gabby," I said softly and she paused. "Deep breaths," I chuckled and she looked up at me, a smile threatening to take over her nervous expression. "I was having a shitty morning but that has nothing to do with you. I like it when you're here," I replied, stunned by my own outspoken revelation.
