Chapter Twenty-One

We climbed up the pathways twisting and turning. It was so peaceful, no one else was around and it felt like we were the only two people in the world. We talked as we walked, our fingers entwined.

"Come on then, tell me twenty one facts about yourself" Daniel said
"Why?" I asked
"Because I want to know every tiny little detail about you"
"Okay but you can do it to" I said, he nodded. "Okay, erm so my full name is Alexandria Rose Walker, I'm a Taurus and I do follow my horoscope and things quite a lot. I am absolutely in love with pasta, will eat it at least once a week for sure, erm I want to go back to Australia so bad, I went and stayed in Perth for a month in 2017 with some friends and it was beautiful, I love photography and do have an Instagram dedicated to it, my hair is naturally blonde I just die it dark, I have 10 piercings, I have 9 tattoos, my favourite colour is black, rare occasion yellow or khaki green, my favourite animal is a tiger, I want to go shark diving at some point, it's on the bucket list. Erm, growing up I always watched F1, McLaren has actually been my team since I knew how to say the word, my mum and dad are called Grace and Mark, I am like a quarter Irish, I would love to one day live in a warm country, I'm the type to want to get married and have kids, I love romance, affection and all things over the top and cringey I'm a sap, I was born at 3 minutes past 12, so my birthday is like in three and a half hours officially, my favourite tv show is friends, I will watch it on repeat from start to finish like all the time, I can also quote it word for word, I love a good cocktail or glass of wine, and finally I love chocolate fudge cake" I completed with a smile.

We were still walking up the hill and were just at the top Daniel smiled at me and pulled me in towards him. He gave me the most sincere kiss before turning me round to look out across Barcelona, the sun was nearly down and it was magical. I loved moments like this, I could chase the sunset every day and never get bored. My back was pressed against the front of Daniel and his arms were wrapped around me.

"Beautiful" I said, whispering so I didn't disturb the moment
"Yeah. Yeah you are" Daniel whispered in my ear, I heard his phone buzz and he pulled it out his pocket.

"Gonna get an early night, see you in the morning for Qualis"

Michael had text Daniel, he tapped a quick reply and slid his phone back in his pocket after sending it. Daniel took my hand once again and we started walking back down the hills towards his car.
"Come on, we don't want to be out late and I want a cuddle in bed"
"Mhm yes please" I said agreeing while watching my step and trying hard not to fall over
"We can watch friends?" Daniel asked. I nodded enthusiastically and we got back to the car fairly quickly and did the return drive back to the hotel. Daniel parked the car in the hotel garage and we snuck back in without being seen by an cameras.

We took the lift up to our floor and got out, Daniel looked around before holding my hand and pulling out my keycard to my room which was in his pocket. He opened the door and led me inside first.

I saw white and pink rose petals on the floor leading a trail. I turned back to Daniel who smiled, he put his hand on my back and encouraged me to keep moving.

The trail of rose petals was lined either side by candles, all the way along. The room was dark, and only the candlelight flickered guiding me along. The trail led to the bedroom where as I rounded the corner I gasped. From the ceiling hung so many gold, white and rose gold balloons, all with curly ribbon that hung down. The rose petals led to the bed where they there was a heart shape made out of them. There was a rose gold balloon banner that spelt out "Happy Birthday" sitting against the wall above the headboard of the bed, there was a massive bouquet of white and pink roses laying on the bed, on the dressing table laid a ice bucket with a bottle or champagne and two glasses, next to it was a bowl chocolate covered strawberries, alongside a beautifully wrapped present and a large envelope. I turned around to face Daniel with tears in my eyes. He walked over to me smiling as a tear rolled down my cheek, he wiped it away with his thumb and cradled my face with both hands
"No one has ever done something so special and beautiful for me, I can't put it into words. Thank you" I said cuddling into him.
"You deserve to be spoilt and treated like a queen. I wanted you to feel special and loved and amazing, I wanted you to know that I want to celebrate this birthday and every single other birthday, with you, I want to celebrate every milestone, every victory, every tear, every fight, every make up with you, you deserve the world and I'm going to give you it" he said. More tears were falling out of my eyes, I couldn't control it
"You're amazing, I love you" I gulped and looked up at Daniel when I realised the words that tumbled out of my mouth. His eyes went wide, "okay.. erm-" I was cut off by Daniels lips on mine, they came crashing down and I could feel him smiling. He picked me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist, he walked towards the bed and turned and sat down with me on his lap. He broke away from the kiss and his brown eyes stared deep into my blue ones.

"I love you" he whispered. This overwhelming feeling washed over me and I reconnected our lips. His hands held onto me on my thighs, as our tongues danced together, I could feel him getting harder underneath me as I grinded my hips into his, my hands were twisting through his hair, pulling him in as close as I could get him. This moment, was everything.
