I woke up the next morning and huffed at a smiling Daniel who was watching me.
"Is Alex still mad?" Daniel chuckled, pulling me into him and nuzzling his face in my neck, it wasn't fair he was that strong
"You lied and left me, and were late" I sighed at me and relaxed into his grip, I wasn't getting away any time soon so I gave up, and I wasn't really mad about it, but he didn't know that.
"When I show you, you won't be mad" Daniel whispered in my ear, his voice sent chills over my body.
"Hmm sure" I was trying my best to be stubborn but it was hard when he was there, whispering in my ear, feeling the warmth of his arm around me, I twisted to face him.
"Don't be stubborn with me Walker" he said in a more intense tone, I was shocked
"Or what Ricciardo?" I played back. He smirked before kissing me, his hand on my neck, his thumb rubbing along my jawline, what a beautiful man Daniel Ricciardo is.
"Come on, we've got somewhere to go before we go into work" Daniel said, I sighed as he pulled away from me, I clung onto him. "Lex, come on" he whispered kissing my head
"Lex?" I asked. He had never called me Lex before?
"Problem?" He said winking at me, I shook my head and he smiled, I kind of liked it. It was the same name my dad used for me, I hadn't heard it in so long.I got ready, showering and then dressing in work uniform and sorting things out, I put my temporary laptop into my bag. My new one arriving at the offices soon, hopefully before we went out for the next races.
"Where are we going?" I asked as we got to Daniels car outside the hotel
"You'll see" he said as he held the door open for me. I smiled and got in, I didn't like the not knowing but I knew Daniel long enough now to know he wasn't going to tell me and to trust that it would be probably a great thing. We drove for a little while, almost heading towards the MTC and then driving right past, I was confused as I saw the building behind the trees, we drove a little further and I realised we were near where my parents used to live, I smiled a little.Eventually the car stopped along a street of big houses that all had big security gates along them, it was a sunny day, cold but sunny and the trees lines up along the road were letting the sun seep through, it was beautiful. I looked at Daniel who smiled. He then stepped out of the car and came round to my side of the car, I stepped out and adjusted my McLaren hoodie before taking his outstretched hand. He locked the car and we walked down the street, it was quiet and private.
"What do you think?" He asked me
"About what exactly?" I asked him
"This area, the houses, what do you think?" He asked again.
"It's a beautiful street, beautiful area. Nice and quiet, looks secure" I said, I looked at him and he was smiling
"Your parents house is nearby as well" Daniel said, he eyed me cautiously but I smiled and nodded, it was. How did he know stuff like this, but it was almost comforting to me to know I used to live near here, I knew the surrounding area and my dad and I always had a running joke that one day I would work for McLaren, it was always a pipe dream, but dreams do come true, he used to take me to look at the building once upon a time, I got so excited. It was like a tradition to go and see before every season started.
"Why are we here?" I asked Daniel, we had carried on walking down the road, getting towards the end. Daniel stopped and turned me to face a house. It was the very last house on the street, a detached, stand alone house, it was so big, it reminded me of Daniels American house, that one was big. Big black security gates stood at the front, attached to crisp white brick pillars. Daniel pulled his phone out and tapped a number into the keypad where the gates were and the swung open.
"Just look, and tell me what you think after" he said as he returned next to me, he kissed my forehead and then softly pushed me forward. I nodded. I walked up the drive way, the path going in a circle as it got to the house, a small fountain in the middle. Lights lined the driveway either side, and then greenery, two massive flower beds surrounded by grass. The white brick pillars led to walls surrounding the house, but it didn't feel closed in, they weren't high up and it still felt so open but still secure. The house itself was beautiful. The white brick continued all along, the black features of the doors and windows a perfect contrast. The door itself was so big, it had a giant silver knocker on the front, and a door handle. I pushed the door open and smiled when the door swung. The entrance hall was massive, with a grand staircase right in front, they spilt half way up and went off in two separate directions, a black rug ran up the white marble of the stairs, there was green accents everywhere, adding colour to the black and white of the hall. A large table stood to the side of the hall with a large mirror above it. A few doors led off the hall, one belonging to the kitchen, which was beautiful so open, the floor to ceiling doors letting in so much light, also showing off the insane space outside, it looked like a massive field out the back of the house. I felt overwhelmed, it was beautiful, a dream, something I literally imagined. Something you see in a magazine or a rich celebrity has, even the decor was exactly what I liked, the space, the light coming in, the security of it, it was beautiful, perfect, and yet I wondered why we were here. I sat down at the dining table, I heard Daniels footsteps behind me as he followed me in the room and put his hands on my shoulders, rubbing them softly.
"Alex?" He called to me
"Daniel what is this? It's so much to take in" I said, and it was, to me this was so much, I hadn't even looked at half the house yet
"If you want it to be, this is ours" he said simply, as he sat down at the table next to me, taking my hands in his
"Ours?" I asked
"This is what I was doing last night" Daniel said. "I had someone find some houses, found this one, checked it out and knew it was the one" he said. Did he really know me? How did he know this would be exactly what I liked, the openness, the security, the location was ideal for us both, how it was laid out, the colours.
"Daniel this is so much. It's beautiful, really beautiful" I sighed, I cupped his face in my hand and he smiled, his brown eyes twinkling
"Then come with me" he said. I nodded and let him lead me up the stairs, we went right, the two staircases splitting but joining when you reached the first floor. The hallway lined with doors. Daniel pulled me into one room, a large bedroom, it was massive, it was again so open and beautiful, and had an en-suite bathroom attached. There was another room that backed onto the bedroom that had wardrobes and shelves lining the walls, the amount of clothes you could fit in there was insane. There was another bathroom and then two more rooms. Daniel pulled me inside to one of them, he stood behind me as we looked towards the window, his arms wrapping my waist, he leaned his chin on my head.
"And one day, I have a certain idea of what this room will be" he whispered to me. I smiled, did he mean what I think he meant. I squeezed his arms around me. This was perfect. "There's the living room still downstairs and a couple of other rooms as well, one I was hoping to use as a gym, then there's the double garage we have"
"I don't want to see anymore" I said to him, I turned in his arms "I don't need to" I said
"You want it?" Daniel asked, I nodded at him and he picked me up, he spun us around and I secured my legs and arms around him before I fell over. He stopped moving and we stood in the door way to the room, I looked at him and put my hands through his hair, he smiled "our first home" he whispered, I pulled his face towards mine and kissed him. I loved this man so much, he found us a house, and I've fallen in love with it, fallen in love with him all over again.Another thank you, I'm amazed at the votes and reads in just the last few days, so thank you thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying the story.
