AN; I'm taking a different spin on this season for this story, so hopefully it's okay. I want some good for Danny Ric and also it fits in well with my plans for this story🙂

As always thank you for the reads, comments and votes, it means so much🧡🧡🧡

Sunday race day. Sophie and Ben left my office to go and sort out the guys ahead of the race, I finished off some bits, had a quick talk with Zak before finding myself in hospitality where Daniel's family were.
"I hope you don't mind me keep popping up" I said to them as I sat down and let Isaac climb in my lap
"Don't be silly sweetie, you're part of the family" Grace said patting my leg "where's that son of mine?"
"He should be here soon, duties" I chuckled
"You two are beautiful, I'm so happy that it's you. You're perfect, you're the best person for him" Grace said
"Thank you, he's perfect because of you" I said
"I just want to know when I'm getting my third grandchild" she chuckled
"Grace!" Joe gasped
"What? He's a great uncle, he'd be an amazing father" Grace said, I laughed
"One day, I promise" I said to her, that answer seemed to be satisfied with those words
"There he is!" Michelle said "quick, save Alex from the children talk our mother is inflicting" Daniel kissed his sisters cheek before hugging his parents
"Mum" Daniel sighed, he then come over to me and kissed my forehead and smiled before standing next to me with his hand on my shoulder.

Daniel and Lando went off to do their drivers parade and I settled back into the office to do some further bits. I was disturbed when Lando came flying into my office and sat down, he put his feet up on my desk and smiled
"Afternoon" he said
"Get your feet off my desk" I laughed
"I haven't seen you properly in ages, I knew this would happen" he sighed
"It's been busy, you know I love you" I smiled
"I know, that's why I can't wait to get back to Monaco, we are going to partyyyyyyy" he said
"Lands you barely drink" I laughed
"Yeah but we can still have a good time"
"Party in Monaco it is" I smiled to him
"Good"
"Happy now?" I asked
"Indeed"
"Now get your feet off of my desk" I said as I stood up and pushed him off, he laughed and stood up. I walked out of the office with him and to the garage where Daniel was. Before long they were hopping in the cars to take them round to the grid before the race. I joined Michael and Jon by going out onto the grid where they both got out. We chatted for a little bit before doing a little group hug and then I went back into the garage making sure Sophie and Ben were good before standing with Michael for the race, I had a good feeling, Michael and Blake did to as we sat and watched the screens.

"As he rounds the final corner, he's about to make history! Daniel Ricciardo takes the victory in his home Grand Prix and becomes the first one to ever do so! Oh my oh my!"

The McLaren garage went wild, engineers had already ran out to the pit wall and I could hear the radio messages flying around. Michael had lifted me in the air and spun me around. I was in actual shock, complete shock. He won. Daniel won, in Australia, surrounded by his family. My boyfriend just become the first Australian to win his home Grand Prix. As soon as I was placed on the floor I turned to Grace who was crying, full tears. We hugged immediately, all the while screaming and cheering was happening in and outside the garage, everyone, not just McLaren were clapping Daniel, the whole pit lane. Michael, Blake and I went out to where the cars would soon be coming in, Grace, Joe and Michelle joining us, the kids being left with their dad, this was once in a lifetime and the atmosphere was electric. We got to the barriers and Daniel came rolling in, lining up at the number one. Max was second, Charles was third and they lined up either side of him, I didn't even know what to do with myself, but I made sure Daniel's parents and sister were front and centre.

Michael had hold of my hand, as Daniel had his head in his hands sitting in the car, I don't even think he knew how to comprehend this. He always dreamed of this, he dreamed of wins, and being a champion and doing what he loved, but above all he dreamed of winning at home, and today was that day. He removed the steering wheel slowly, shaking his head before standing up, Max was straight over and congratulating his old teammate. I could contain my excitement, I had tears in my eyes, never in my life had I been so proud of someone, he eventually put his feet onto the halo balancing himself, before standing up to roars of cheers, he fistbumped the air before jumping off the car and running over to where we were all waiting. I couldn't even hear myself think, it was crazy. The crowd going wild for their Australian driver.
