Special: Cloudclan's Healing

Sandstar watched the kits play. He felt a pride that should not be there.

A father pride.

Sandstar know that MapleFox's mate, EchoStorm , had died. The kits had no father, but that didn't mean he could become one.

Sandstar sighed, and glanced at them again. Jaykit was ontop of her sister, Echokit. Bravekit was jumping around them. They looked so pure and playful, Sandstar couldn't imagine them as warriors, fighting and defending their clan, blood and all.

That's when he made up his mind. He would be the support both MapleFox and the kits needed. At least, he hoped so.

"Jaykit! Get off!!"

"Not until you say it."

"Fine. You are not the best warrior in Cloudclan!"

"Hey!" Echokit pushed Jaykit off of her back. Echokit stuck out her tongue.

Jaykit glared at her.

Just then, Bravekit jumped from behind Jaykit, and trapped her! Echokit smirked and jumped on Bravekit, squishing Jaykit.

"Get off!"

"Kits. Come here." They froze. MapleFox stood in front of the nursery. Her tail was sliding back and forth, making the sandy soil move with it. Slowly, each kit walked to their mother.

"Why are you all slaking." She asked, "You aren't in trouble. I just have a game for you to play." The kits perked up. MapleFox pushed a ball of moss to them, "Swat this with each other." She swiped it suddenly. Bravekit ran after it.

When he got it in his paws, he swiped it to Echokit. She giggled and ponced on it. They played the new game till the sun was low.

"Kits, time to sleep." MapleFox called. They scrambled to the nursery. Then bundled together and fell to sleep.

"A mother, lost but in love, A talon from two Clans, and a Fire like power that will lead It's pack away from itself..." The starclan cat stood in front of TigerHeart. He held his breath as she disappeared. From where she stood was a wolf. It's eyes stared at him with a supernatural blue. "Beware the shadows that lurk in the mist." With that, the wolf disappeared in the raising mist. What could these warnings mean?!

Skypaw felt his paws shake as the stranger came closer. The cat gave him a devilish smirk and leaped to finish him off. Skypaw scrambled underneath the cat and ran as fast as he could. The other cat growled and ran after him. Skypaw was almost to Cloudclan camp... the cat was now on his back. Skypaw fought hard, but this cat was experienced and over powered him quickly. When the stranger left, Skypaw was barely alive.

"Get him to the medicine den! TigerHeart, send a patrol to the Mistclan border! Make sure no cat passes it!" Sandstar ordered cats to action after finding Skypaw. He had been found unconscious near the border, mistclan scent everywhere. Anger swelled in him. Why are we being attacked? He growled, MapleFox appeared by his side. "Who would try to kill us? We have done nothing but protect the clans. What we carried would have kill everyone."

"I don't know, but if this happens again, we will attack."

"TigerHeart? What's going on?" Creampaw looked up at him, her eyes fearful. "Nothing. Could you get BlackFrost and Ravenpaw? I'll go tell TigerFang and DuskShadow that they are on guard." Creampaw nodded and dashed away.

When TigerHeart told the cats, they were weary. "What will we do if the camp is attacked?"

"It won't." He said, but even he was unsure of that.

He took his small patrol to the mistclan border. With that anger coming from them, he wouldn't be surprised that every cat in Mistclan would come. Instead, a small patrol arrived. they gave him unsure looks but kept their cool. Not like himself. "Who attacked us?" He growled, flashing his teeth. "What are you talking about Fox brain?" a cat hissed back. "What we're talking about is Skypaw!" BlackFrost spat back. "I don't know who-"

"Stop." A cat that TigerHeart reorganized stepped forward. SwampPath.

"What do you know TigerHeart." TigerHeart nodded and let his fur lie down.

"An apprentice was attacked in our territory. The scents all lead to Mistclan."

"I will tell SilverFur immediately. Lets go." He nodded his goodbye to TigerHeart and lead his patrol away. But somewhere in TigerHeart's gut, he know that something was going to happen, and Even SwampPath couldn't fix it.
