Cats change.
You may think you know a cat, but that could change. One day he's your best friend, then the next day you're enemies. I know Sandstar before he became leader. I know many cats that are dead now.
Hailstream is still alive, but I feel like he's dead. He was always a strange character. Going on and on about random things like the weather, or fish colors, something like that. Now a days, he's all about protecting Mistclan. One day, he just stopped talking to me at gatherings.
Now I know Hailstream, and he does do stuff for no reason. Sure, what he says strange stuff, but when he acts It's not at all random.
Once, one moon, I looked across the clearing at Hailstteam. I swear, he looked like an earthquake was coming through. He was twitching and shaking, and he had this dumb grin on his face. He scared me half to death.
I didn't know how close he was to death
That very day that he scared me, because the events after were too unreal to seem possible.
Cause he was going in way over his head...
