"Well then... what's the topic I should be looking forward to discussing with you," Tsukishima leans against the wall with his arms crossed as Arai stands firmly in front of him.

"Shibuki," Tsukishima's cocky demeanor disappears at her name, and he cocks his head to the side.

"What about her?" He says and Arai crosses his arms to match Tsukishima.

"Well first things first, what's going on between you two?" Tsukishima's mind immediately begins to race.

Is this guy here to tell me to back off and that him and Shibuki are already a thing? Bold of him to assume I'd loose against a dweeb like him. I'm not going to give him the satisfaction of believing he's won against me.

"If I said we were dating? What's it to you?" Tsukishima plasters on his confident act, but Arai merely scoffs at his remark.

"I don't believe that for a second," Tsukishima grits his teeth. "What was with that awkward interaction this morning? Remember, when you brushed her off," Tsukishima is confused as to why he's asking about this.

"I'm not inclined to give her the time of day. If I want to ignore someone irrelevant, then I'm going to ignore them," Tsukishima can see Arai get visibly angry at this statement and he feels a little accomplished at this.

"Careful what you say about her, Shibuki does not deserve to be treated the way you treat her," Arai hisses and Tsukishima rolls his eyes.

"If you weren't so violently in love with her, you'd realize how pathetic she really is-" Tsukishima is cut off when Arai grabs his collar, slamming him against the wall. Tsukishima is taken by surprise but just grins as Arai glares at him, letting go of his shirt and stepping back with his fists clenched.

"This conversation took a turn for the worst. Do us a favor and stay away from Shibuki, she doesn't deserve to feel worthless because of an ass like you," with that, Arai walks away from the conversation. Tsukishima is left standing there, his eyes glued to the ground as he pinches the bridge of his nose.

"I was planning to do just that," Tsukishima mumbles under his breath, walking back to class with his head hung low.

"Where the heck have you been!" I yell, standing up abruptly as Arai returns to class looking a little frustrated, but his face immediately softens as he sees me.

"Oh hey you're back-" I throw the bean paste bun at his face as I glare at him, my arms crossed over my chest.

"Don't 'oh hey you're back' me! You ask me to go buy you lunch and then to don't even bother to be here when I return!" I scold and he rubs his cheek (which is now turning red) with a goofy smile.

"I have an excuse I promise!" I put my hands on my hips, waiting as he stares up at the ceiling before finally looking back at me. "Suzu called me! I got stuck talking to her on the phone, you know how it is!" I scoff, plonking back down in my seat.

"Just because you have a girlfriend now, doesn't mean you can forget about me!" I say, turning my head away as he sits next to me, tearing open the bun.

"Don't worry Shibuki, no need to be jealous," he winks and I scoff, snatching the bun from his hands just before he can take a bite.

"You don't deserve this!" I say, taking a bite as he pouts while sinking into his seat.

I swing my legs back and forth off the stage as I watch the volleyball boys practice. As much as I hate it, my eyes keep getting drawn back to Tsukishima. He's so effortless in everything he does but his ridiculous height just makes it look like he doesn't even have to try when blocking. Even though he tries to act like volleyball doesn't mean that much to him, it's amusing to watch him try and hide the fact that he's getting so invested in the game and the way he scrunches his nose a little as he concentrates.
