The rest of the week passed by as usual. Tsukishima relentlessly teased and bullied me every time he saw me, but I found his attempts slightly less annoying for some reason... maybe I'm just used to it at this point. Arai and I haven't spoken since his confession. He acts like I don't exist... and it hurts but I try to see it from his point of view.

Before I could register it, Saturday was here and I was standing in my bathroom not recognizing the person in the mirror. I had spent the entire day getting ready for this fake date Tsukishima and I have. It's a dinner at his house with his parents and older brother, in other words a literal nightmare. At least I know Akiteru is easy to get along with, but if his parents are anything like Tsukishima... this dinner is not going to go in my favor.

I turn my face side to side, biting my lip in nervousness. I spent hours on my hair, trying to get it to stay in place and look neat and I am happy with the end result, I even attempted to put on some makeup to try and make myself look slightly less ugly... according to Tsukishima. I smooth the dress out on my body, still loving how it looks but feeling a little out of place in the attire. The time on my phone indicates I should start making my way to his house, so I take a deep breath and put on a coat over my dress, grabbing my purse.

"Ok mama, Rina, I'm heading out!" I call out as I slip on my shoes at the door. Rina and mama come over, both their eyes widening at my appearance.

"Himiko? Is that you?" Mama says dramatically and I roll my eyes. "Rina I think someone has replaced Himiko!" She says dramatically and Rina gasps.

"Ok you guys quit it..." I grumble and mama giggles.

"We're teasing dear, you look gorgeous. Where are you going?" Mama says and I rub my neck.

"Out?" She raises her eyebrows and I sigh. "A date but not really a date. It's a favor so technically it's a fake date?" Mama and Rina blink silently and I giggle waving. "Ok I have to go now bye!"

"Be safe and have fun! Don't come home too late-" I close the door on her with a smile before heading to the train station to make my way to Tsukishima's house, my hands and legs practically shaking from nerves.

As I step off the train, I text Tsukishima I'm nearly at his so I don't show up as a surprise. The entire walk there, my mind is filled with should I just run back home? What if I don't show up I mean what's the worst that could happen? I could say to Tsukishima that there was an emergency at home and I have to rush home, I mean he'd understand right? Maybe I'll say it was about Rina so he doesn't get mad since apparently he likes Rina more than me. This is a solid plan I should just do it, I mean trying to convince his parents that we're dating is crazy I mean we literally hate each other, anyone could see that.

Before I could execute my genius plan, I ended up standing in front of Tsukishima's door. It's not too late, just run. Move your legs and run. Why aren't you running? You're a runner Himiko this is literally what you train for why are you standing still? Oh God I'm in so much trouble.

With a shaking hand, I knock on the door and chew on my nail nervously, fiddling with the sleeve of my coat and tapping my feet on the ground. It's not too late, you could totally run-

"Took your time-" Tsukishima opens the door, his words stopping as we make eye contact.

He's speechless as the door opens to reveal her standing there. It feels like the world melts around them, and the only thing that matters is her. She looks completely different from what he's used to... in fact he didn't know it was possible for someone to be this beautiful.

Matching him, she's unable to say anything. He's dressed in a maroon button up shirt with black pants... different from his usual hoodie and sweat pants. She had never taken the time to look at his features. Now that her vision isn't blinded by her hatred towards him, he's actually quite beautiful in her eyes.
