"Mum!" I whine, running after her as she scurries around the kitchen, preparing drinks. "We're not staying for long I already told you we're going out today!" I grab onto her apron, trying to drag her back as Rina giggles at the scene.

"This is the first boyfriend you've ever had! Let me be excited!" She whines back and I huff, letting go making her stumble forward.

"Listen here!" I say pointing sternly at her and she looks up and me scared. "You are not going to do or say anything that'll embarrass me ok! Tsukishima is not as... outgoing as us so make sure you don't intimidate him with your babbling!" I scold and she stands up straight, saluting me.

"Yes ma'am!" She says and I put my hands on my hips with a grin.

"But let me go get the baby photos to show!" She says running off and my stomach drops.

"Mama!" I scream as I chase after her. I don't even notice Rina toddling over to the door where Tsukishima has been knocking for the past 10 minutes. She opens it, hugging Tsukishima as he smiles at her.

"His Tsuki!" She says and he ruffles her hair.

"Hey Rina! Is your sister home-"

"No let me go!" Mum's scream comes from the living room, followed by more yells as Tsukishima stands there stunned. Rina rolls her eyes, cupping her hands around her mouth.

"Mama! Nechan! Tsuki is here!" She yells. My mum and I freeze in our tracks. My arms wrapped around her legs as she clings onto the photo book while we're both wrestling on the floor. I then scramble to my feet, running to the door and nearly tripping over my own feet as my mum follows.

"Tsukishima!" I pant, fixing my hair and clothes as mum mimics my actions, smiling widely.

"Tsukishima! It's so nice to meet you come in!" He smiles awkwardly, walking in and taking his shoes off as my mum and I both smile, as if we weren't chasing each other around the house with slippers less than five minutes ago. "My my, you really are as cute as Himiko always says," she says and I go pale.

"Mama!" I scold and she giggles.

"Ok ok! Let's go to the living room!" She says, taking Rina's hand and leading her into the living room leaving me and Tsukishima in the hall alone. I sigh, turning around and tilting my head at Tsukishima's sad smile.

"Oh gosh I'm so sorry about her... I should've warned you that she's a lot..." I say and he shakes his head.

"It's fine... now I know where you get your outgoing trait from," he grins and I smile nodding, not being able to ignore his sad smile.

"Are you ok?" I whisper and he clears his throat.

"Yeah, I'm ok," he says smiling and I nod slowly. I then take his hand and begin to lead him into the living room. He watches my back while he follows me, his smile dropping. Tsukishima can't help but envy her. Her family is all he ever wished his could be. The way her and her mother interact is a way he would never dream about trying with his parents... it's strange how different the two of them really are.

We all sit down in the living room as my mum excitedly offers him tea with a wide grin. She sits on the couch across from us as Rina sits between my legs and I brush her hair, glaring at my mum who ignores me.

"So Tsukishima! How did you two meet?" She says and I go to tell her to stop, but Tsukishima puts his hand on my shoulder and smiles reassuringly.

"I'm on the school volleyball team and we met when she accidentally stumbled into our practice on her first day," he says and my mum giggles.
