Dreams

"Daddy!" A brighter voice cried.

"There's my princess!" A deeper one replied with joy from a large blurry figure.

"Darling, she shouldn't be here." A warming voice said in slight concern as a more petite blurry figure appeared.

"Your majesty, a letter has been sent by the general of the opposition. It requires your immediate attention." A metallic voice said from the end of the room.

"Ok. Celeste! Go play with your sister! Mommy and Daddy need to go work."

"Ok! Daddy? Can we have cake later? Crystal says she wants some."

"Sure sweetie."

Celeste's head throbbed as a bloodcurdling scream echoed from her memories and she shot up in a cold sweat.

"Celeste! What happened? Are you ok? What's wrong?" Shinsou mumbled loudly, stirring quickly from his drowsy state.

"Sh-shinsou? What are you doing- oh." Recollection returned to her and she took some deep breaths. "Y-yea, I'm fine. What time is it?"

"Like 3 am? What happened?" He said, grabbing her hand and pulling her towards him.

"Bad dream..." Celeste mumbled. "I'm sorry I woke you up."

"Nah, I have insomnia , can't wake up when you don't sleep. Do you want to try to sleep again?"

Celeste shook her head and clutched his shirt tightly.

"Ok. I'm right here." He said soothingly.

"I- I normally go train, when this happens. I used to live with my mentor, Professor Snipe. We would go out on runs and work it out through training." She explained.

"Do you want to go train now?" He asked her, sitting up.

"I-I don't know, the dorms have different rules and you can't come with me if I do..." she said kneading her fingers together in a stressed manner.

"Hey. It's ok, you're right though we're not allowed out of the dorms at this hour." He said with a sigh. "Here. Why don't we try this."

Shinsou lifted her up and laid her down in her bed and got in next to her. He held her close into his chest and Celeste mumbled sleepily in content. "I like this better than training."

"I'm glad Princess."
