The pair returned to the castle to bright smiles and proud gleams.
"Well done my dear niece! We're going to question Sloth and keep him prisoner in the dungeons until the other Sins are captured and put on trial."
"Thank you Uncle. Is there any other thing I need to tend to or may I return to UA?"
The King looked at her and a small grin grew on his face.
"Well, I was talking with Layla…why don't we do a ball tonight?"
"A ball?! Tonight?! Under these circumstances?! It hardly seems appropriate!" Celeste cried.
"The people need some joy in their lives and I'll admit the castle does as well. It's been dull here since the war with the Sins began. And now their receiving aid from this new League. There needs to be some optimism." King Flores explained. "She's also already started planning so it's out of my hands now."
Celeste sighed and ran a hand through her dark hair as it turned white again.
"And the Crown Princess must be present for the opening ceremony of the ball."
"I'm afraid so."
"Very well. I'll have George help me with my dress and Shinsou's suit."
"Of course. See you tonight." He said, hugging his niece and then walking off.
"A ball?" Shinsou asked, cocking a brow. "And a suit?"
"Fraid so Toshi. Trust me corsets aren't any better. Come on, let's go wash up and I'll get George to make you a suit."
Celeste led him through a hallways where he split off to bathe himself, a butler being present to help him tend to his wounds. When he emerged fresh faced, he saw a dark grey suit perched on a chair, waiting for him. He slipped it on and the butler helped him tame his unruly hair into a slicked back spiky look. He emerged from the room looking like a noble, tie a deep purple to bring out his eyes. He walked towards the faint sound of music, entering a large room with a staircase. He climbed the steps and found himself in a large ballroom full of people. They were all talking, dancing and having a good time. Men were dressed formally and women in lavish dresses that looked regal and victorian. He wondered where Celeste was, hoping she too would be in a dress. He received a drink from one of the waiters, a simple soda for the minor, and observed the people dancing.
A small bell sounded and everyone's attention turned to the double bannister balcony they were dancing before and silenced.
