Shinsou waited for hours after calling his teacher. He almost slept in her room, if Mr.Aizawa didn't drag him out. The next morning in class, there sat Celeste, with a tired look on her face and bruises all over, hiding under her sweater's hood.
"Celeste! Where did you go!" Shinsou said, walking up to their shared desk. She looked at him with a surprised look and turned her head away, pulling the fabric lower.
"S-sorry... I had to stop by my home for something..." she whispered out in an almost cracking voice.
They made it through part of the day when Aizawa pulled Celeste aside as the lunch bells' brisk ring hit the air.
"You know, it wouldn't hurt to tell someone right? I mean Shinsou almost slept at your dorm, waiting for you."
"He did?" She replied quietly with a slight tint to her cheeks."But what am I supposed to say? Your reaction wasn't any better! They'll either hate me, think I'm crazy or just plain weird." Celeste answered, putting a hand on her arm, covering a bruise.
"Next time I'm sending someone with you. You can't keep going alone." The teacher stated.
"I need to go alone."
"No, you need to go, not go alone." Aizawa clarified. He then motioned for her to leave and go have lunch.
Shinsou had waited for her outside of their classroom and overheard a bit of the conversation. As Celeste stepped out, she looked even more exhausted than in class.
"Ready?" He asked her. She cocked her head in a questioning way, so he restated. "For lunch?"
"O-oh. Yea. Let's go." She said quietly, walking towards the cafeteria. She tightened her grip on the hood and pulled it lower. Why did she do that? He questioned, as they walked towards their lunch spot. While it was not unusual to see the girl with a sweater, for her to cover her head was odd, since she had not done it since revealing her quirk. There were times where she did have it on in the bustling cafeteria, just to avoid stares, but once in the safety of the classroom or dorms she put it down. The pair got to their lunch spot and while Celeste normally changed forms, at very least let her hair out of its hood, she didn't. And Shinsou was not having it.
"Are you ok?"
"Yea why?" She replied plainly.
"You have your hood on, your not changing forms, and you look exhausted." He said, concerned.
"I'm fine Toshi." She said, looking away from him.
"Cel... I know you're lying."
"Just...tired."
"Then rest."
"Where? We have class again in 20 minutes and we don't end classes until-" Shinsou grabbed her arm and pulled her onto his lap. The little hooded bundle squeaked and curled up, comfortably.
"Better?" He asked her, running his hands through her hooded hair.
"Mhm." The girl mumbled, happily dozing off.
