The Calling

She sat back down on her bed, cross legged and the guitar in her arms. Humming as she tuned the instrument, she looked at the boy and smiled. Shinsou swore his heart would burst if she smiled more because it was the most amazing thing he'd ever witnessed. He felt a small touch on his leg and his attention snapped back to her.

"You ready?" She asked him, cocking her head a bit.

"Y-yea."

Celeste took a deep breath and took her first strum. The tune flew out of her like air as it's colorful sound filled the room.

"I was scared of dentists and the dark... I was scared of pretty girls and starting conversations, oh all my friends are turning green...You're the magician's assistant in their dreams. Ah, ooohhh...Ohhh, and they come unstuck."

Her strumming dropped and picked up at a faster, lighter tune that had Shinsou mesmerized. "Lady, running down to the riptide, taking away to the dark side, I wanna be your left hand man...I love you, when you're singing that song and I got a lump in my throat cause, you're gonna sing the words wrong."

Celeste looked up at Shinsou's as she kept strumming the chorus and poked him with her foot. Her wings spread open a bit and her halo glowed a little brighter.

"There's this movie that I think you'll like, this guy decides to quit his job and heads to New York City. This cowboys running from himself, and she's been living on the highest shelf...Ah, ooooohhhh. Ohhh. And they come unstuck."

He smiled at her and put his hand on her leg, causing her tail to wiggle a bit and he smiled.

Celeste smiled at him and stood up to put her guitar to the side. She looked at the frame on her wall as she lifted her head again and touched her chest where she had her tattoo.

"You ok?"

"Y-yea. Shinsou can I tell you some- AHHHH!" Celeste started screaming in pain as her body burned with pain.

"CELESTE!" Shinsou ran to her side and grabbed his phone to call a teacher.

"No!" She said , grabbing his hand and pulling it away from the phone. "I need to go... to my home... something's wrong. Please. Tell them I'll be back."

"- I what?"

Celeste looked at the boy with large, sad eyes and turned away. She snapped her fingers and slipped through a crack in the ground, closing it before he could follow.
