Marigold's POV
Today is the day. Today is the day that Harry and Cara will be seen out in public for the very first time. I tried my best not to let it bother me, knowing this is actually what I wanted- to not be in the public eye. But there was still a churning in my stomach and I hated the thought of Harry publicly photographed with another woman.
I actually met Cara yesterday, Harry wanted me to be comfortable with her and know that I truly had nothing to worry about. I will say, meeting with her did provide some reassurance for me. Cara is a low key model just starting out and this stunt will definitely boost her name in the industry. Of course, Cara is not only beautiful but she's also super sweet. I'm not sure if that made me feel better or worse about this situation.
Harry's tried his best to reassure me and make me feel okay in the current situation. I was grateful with how he also handled the situation. After chewing him out for his lack of communication he's been sure to communicate everything. He talked me through the whole process of the stunt, showed me their contracts and requirements and made sure I was informed on every little detail. I admired that, knowing that he took what I said and he worked on it and made sure to communicate thoroughly with me.
My foot tapped against the tiled floor as I fluffed an arrangement and placed it on the cart with the rest. I didn't have any custom orders for flowers at the moment so I focused on generic ones to display at the front of the shop.
I smiled at Liza and Ashley as I pushed the cart towards the front window area where we displayed the fresh bouquets. There were customers scattered all over the shop, chatter filled the shop, everyone in their own conversations.
"Did you see?!" I heard a small gasp from somewhere behind me, causing me to glance back. Three girls huddled around a small table as they all stared at one phone screen.
"Who is she?!" Another one gasped, grabbing the phone into her hands. I turned back, placing the vases on the table, already having a feeling of what they're talking about. I took a deep breath, this is what you wanted Marigold. It's better this way for you and Daisy.
"Cara Wilson.. Hmm, she's a model. Ooo she's pretty, you think they're dating?"
Just tune it out, stop listening to them.
"Look how far away he is from her, I don't think so." The first girl chimed in.
"Wait what happened between him and..."
Before she could even finish her sentence I turned around and walked straight towards the studio. I picked up my phone off the table and opened up Twitter.
Harry specifically told me to stay off social media today, but after overhearing the girls in the dining area I couldn't help myself. I didn't even have to search anything up, Harry Styles was trending once again. I stared at his name on the screen, just click it and you'll see what all the buzz is about.
"Okay..." I took another deep breath and tapped his name, there were thousands and thousands of tweets circulating over the pap photos of Harry and Cara. My eyes scanned the screen as I scrolled, everyone had different opinions on the photos.
I've never heard of her in my life
I hope they're dating, they'd be cute together
Oh she's pretty
My thoughts were interrupted when Harry's name appeared on a text notification at the top of my phone.
Finally done. Headed to you, see you soon. xx
I didn't bother to respond before locking my phone and placing it back onto the tabletop. I rubbed the sides of my head with my fingers, taking a deep breath. This whole stunt thing might be harder than I thought.
