Chapter 32

Harry's POV

"I thought we agreed that the tour wouldn't start for another 4 months." I shook my head. My fingers tapped against the tabletop as my knee bounced.

Jeff was trying to convince me to push the start of the tour up since some dates opened up at some arenas.

Key word is, trying.

It wasn't just a few days sooner or even a few weeks. It was 3 months earlier. He's proposing that we start tour in a month. I mean that's crazy right? Even logistically speaking, is it something that our team could pull off?

"Obviously, you get the final say. I'm just saying.. It's been a while since you've gone on tour and all of your fans are excited and ready. Everyone's talking about it and with your album dropping this week, it's the perfect time. Think about it, Harry." Jeff raised an eyebrow but I still shook my head.

"You're doing your one night only in less that two weeks. Just from the success of As It Was, it's clear that your fanbase has grown since your last album, I have no doubt that you'll sell out all the dates of your tour, including the ones we could add in the front end." Jeff had his arms crossed over his chest as he leaned back in his chair.

"4 months was already too soon for me, you know that. Why would you ask me to push forward? No. The answer is no." I stayed firm in my answer.

"Like I said.. Just think about it." Jeff stood from his seat, "I've emailed you all the details of the new possible dates, just look it over. Think about it, let me know by the end of the day." He said.

"End of the day? Jeff, that's not nearly enough time." I shook my head.

"That statement alone tells me you're considering it.." Jeff smiled. "End of the day." He nodded.

I groaned, pushing off the desk and heading towards the door.

"Harry." I stopped in my tracks as Jeff called out. "I've never led you to do anything that wouldn't benefit you and your career. You know that. I'm telling you, this is a good call."

My jaw clenched slightly at his words and my hand gripped the doorknob tightly.

Marigold.

I need to go see Marigold and talk to her about it. I already knew that she wasn't going to like the idea. Seeing how she reacted from the first announcement, I don't even know how she'd react to more dates this soon. Maybe this time won't be so bad. We'll talk about it and we'll decide from there. I want her input and I don't want her to feel like I'm not considering her and Daisy at all.

I started the car, throwing it into reverse as I rang her number.

"Hello, hellooo." She sang into the phone, the brightest smile on her face. Her face on my screen alone was enough to soothe some of my anxiety about the whole situation. "What's wrong?" Her eyebrows scrunched up when she saw my face. She saw right through me.

"Hi, petal.." I sighed and shook my head. "Nothing's wrong.. I'm done over here, heading over to you if that's alright?" I asked.

Mari scoffed, "Do you even have to ask? Daisy misses you." She sighed, sinking into her couch. "She's napping now, she should be up by the time you get here."

"I miss her too. Both of you. One week is far too long away from you guys." I said, the words settled in my head and I instantly regretted it, knowing I've now got Mari thinking about how long I'm going to be away when tour starts.

Hell, it's got me thinking about how long I'll be away for tour. And I hate the thought of being away for that long.

Mari pulled her lips between her teeth and scrunched her nose in distaste.
