Marigold's POV
Harry
Good morning, we still on for dinner tomorrow night?
A subtle smile crept on my face as I stared at the notification on my phone. It's been a few days since Harry came over to the apartment and much to my surprise he texted me later that night letting me know how much he enjoyed spending time with me and Daisy. We'd been going back and forth through text since then.
I shot back a text confirming our plans for tomorrow before turning back to the collage of photos I had spread out on my table. I wasn't entirely sure what design I was going for, I was kinda just shuffling the pictures around with no real rhyme or reason.
There was something missing from the collage. I changed the position of the frame around several times yet I couldn't seem to get the placement quite right. I sighed and paused my work, I'll come back to this little project. I don't have the mental capacity to figure it out right now.
I walked to the front of the shop and turned on the music before unlocking the front door and flipping the sign to say that we're open. I hummed along to the music as I put away some things that cluttered the counter top.
"Good morning!!" Mya sang happily as she walked through the door, I will never understand how she's always so full of energy. I smiled at her and sang back a much less energetic good morning. She disappeared into the back room to put her stuff away before coming to the front to count her register.
"So, the new hire is coming in today to shadow you." I leaned back on the counter top as she counted. "I'll have her in the back with me for a little bit just to give her the rundown of everything and where everything is but then she's all yours. Don't scare her too much." I chuckled, knowing that Mya has a tendency to be a little too hard on the new hires.
"I'll try my best. No promises." She playfully rolled her eyes before shutting the register closed. "So." She smirked at me, wiggling her eyebrows. I let out a soft groan and pushed myself off the counter, grabbing a mug off the shelf.
"Please. Not you too." I laughed as I made myself a drink. I already knew she was about to say something about Harry. I already had Allie down my throat about him.
"Oh come on! Harry Styles comes into our shop and asks for you and you don't expect me to want to know the details?!" She grinned with wide eyes. I shook my head at her and shot her a glare. Yup, I was right.
"Don't act like Allie hasn't already told you everything." I tilted my head at her. Her lips formed into a pout, knowing that I was right.
"But it's different when it comes from you!!" She laughed. "How come you never told me you were childhood friends with Harry?"
I shrugged, turning my back to her to pour the brewed coffee into my mug.
"It never seemed relevant. Besides it's been years since I last saw him or even spoke to him so it never really crossed my mind. He was out of my life." I shrug, Mya didn't look convinced with my answer.
"I suppose..." She hummed. "But now? He's in your life again. Are you guys friends again? Is he in love with you?" She gasped. "Are you in love with him?" She grinned.
The bell at the front door chimed and I sent her a smile, before gesturing to the first customer of the day.
"Looks like you've got work to do." I giggled before turning away to walk to the back studio.
"This conversation isn't over!" She called after me, pointing a finger at me sternly.
"It is for now!" I laughed back, shutting the studio door behind me.
