Marigold's POV

"Mari, wait up!" Allie called out to me. The sound of her heels tapping against the sidewalk echoed in my ears.

I stopped in my tracks. My chest was heaving rapidly. I couldn't breathe.

Allie's arm wrapped around my shoulder once she caught up.

"Let's go.." She said quietly. We walked towards the car in silence. The sound of club goers passing by on the streets and cars flying by were the only noise that surrounded us.

Allie knew better than to ask me about what I was thinking right now. Truth is, I don't even know what I'm thinking.

I just saw Harry with his tongue down another girl's throat.

I mean, am I even allowed to be upset? We're not together. He's allowed to kiss whoever he wants.

"Marigold!!" Harry's voice echoed in the air above everything else.

"Shit." Allie muttered under her breath as we picked up our pace.

We're a few feet away from her car when I hear his footsteps right behind us.

"Marigold, please." He panted, grasping my elbow. I yanked it out of his grip, turning on my heel to shoot him a glare.

It took everything in me not to slap him right now.

"Marigold, let me explain. Please. Please." He begged. Allie stood stiff by my side, shooting daggers at Harry with her eyes. Harry got on his knees, grabbing my hands as he continued to beg. "Can we talk? Please, Marigold. I-" He was panting. "I swear I thought-"

"Just save it, Harry. You've hurt her enough." Allie glared down at him. Harry winced at her voice but nodded. He looked me in the eyes.

"I'm begging you. Just give me a chance to talk. Please, can we talk?"

I glanced from Allie to Harry. I looked over at Allie and she groaned, dropping her arm from my shoulder. I pulled my hands from Harry and Allie handed me the car keys.

"You take the car back to the Airbnb, I'll take an Uber back." She grumbled. "You have one hour before I barge in there." She called as she walked away.

Harry got up from the concrete floor, dusting the dirt off his pants.

"Mari-"

"Just get in the car, H." I turned around, opening the driver's door and getting in. Harry scrambled to the other side, sitting beside me.

"Don't say a word." I said through gritted teeth before starting the car and pulling out of the parking lot.

I hope I don't regret this.

We sat in complete silence.

The radio is off and neither one of us said a thing.

I had about 20 minutes to figure out what I was feeling and how I wanted to handle it. Last time Harry and I talked we both let our emotions lead the way we spoke to each other. Now I need to figure out what exactly I wanted to do and say.

I'm angry, bitter, sad, betrayed, heartbroken. The only logical reaction is yelling at Harry for being an idiot.

I parked in the driveway. I yanked the key out and got out of the car, Harry following behind me. I didn't say anything as I unlocked the front door. I immediately headed towards the kitchen, pulling on the fridge door and cursing when I didn't see any alcohol in it. I knew we should've brought drinks to the Airbnb. I didn't even get to drink anything before I found Harry and the girl in the back hallway. God knows I need a bit of liquid courage right now.
