Chapter Twelve

He helped me to the door and led me to the office.

Luke smiled at an older lady behind the desk “Hey Ms. Jane, this is Ali. It’s her first day.”

Ms. Jane gave me a huge smile. “Oh that’s right. I have your schedule right here.” She handed me a schedule and all of a sudden the office door burst open.

I stiffened as I watched the gaze walk. Luke put his arm on my back and slowly started rubbing circles. “Ali calm down. It’s ok.”

Could this day get any worse? I took a deep breath and slowly let the numbness wash over my body. I could do this.

“Um excuse me, sorry to interrupt but is this the office?” Noah said with a small smile on his lips.

“Yes dear, you must be the gaze. Welcome to Westview high! Let me just help Ali with her schedule and I’ll get right to you.” The boys all turned to me.

Noah smiled sweetly, and as much as I hated him I he was really sweet. There was no denying that.

I turned back looking to Ms. Jane before I had to look at any of their vile faces.

“Ok dear this is your schedule and your locker number is at the top of the paper. Now I can see that you have quite a lot of injuries doll. We do have an elevator in this building but you can’t go on it by yourself so we will have to find someone to help you to your classes until your better.” I nodded and looked down.

“I’ll do it!” Luke volunteered.

“Luke you don’t have any classes with Ali….Let me check these boys schedules. Since you are both new you can all help each other find the way. I’m sure they won’t mind helping you either.” I snapped my head up. Was she saying she wanted those stupid ass pop sensation boys who KILLED MY MOTHER to help me to my classes?

“WHAT!?” I said.

“Um yeah I don’t think that’s a good idea….uh I can just be late to my classes. My teachers won’t mind.”

I heard a snort from behind me and I saw a pair of emerald eyes full of amusement. “Can’t be without your girlfriend for one second?” Jason said.

Rage filled through me. “He isn’t my boyfriend.” I spat out.

“Okay okay…. Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed miss cripple.”

“Leave her alone. Okay? Do us all a favor and shut the hell up!” Luke shouted.

“Excuse me? Do you even know who I am?” Jason said stepping forward.

“Jason that’s enough!” Finn said grabbing his shoulder. He turned to Noah. “Noah we will wait outside….just get our schedules and bring them out to us.”

Chap 17

Jason, Jack, and Finn left the office. I looked down, how could he say something like that. HE WAS THE REASON IM LIKE THIS.

“Ms. Jane we wouldn’t mind helping Ali to her classes. If it’s ok with her, it would be our pleasure.” He then turned to me and Luke. “I’m really sorry about Jason, he is just really stressed out.”

“It’s ok.” Luke said “I’m Luke by the way.”

“Nice to meet you man, I’m Noah.”

“Ok Ali why don’t you wait here for Noah to get the boys their schedules. Luke you can go to homeroom now.”

I looked at look fear filling my eyes. “Have a great first day Ali.” He pulled me into a hug. “Just breathe. You can do this. Stay strong.” He whispered into my ear.
