I woke up with memories flooding my head. No more Luke….hello Jason. I couldn’t help but smile.

I went to the bathroom and took a quick shower and got dressed. I walked out of the room to see everyone sitting on the couch watching TV. This was our last day in New York. We would be heading back tomorrow.

“Good Morning Ali!” Ryan said running over to me. I picked him up and walked over to Emma.

“Hey Ali I think we are going down for breakfast.” She said standing up.

“Okay ill come with you!” I said carrying Ryan out the door. “So where is Luke?” I asked.

“Oh he didn’t get back till….something like 5am. He’s still sleeping.”

“5?! Busted.” I said laughing.

“Got that right.” She said shaking her head.

We made it down the breakfast buffet and sat down when we got our food and drinks. Emma was scrolling through her phone and made a face.

“What is it?” I asked. What could POSSIBLY be going wrong.

“Uhhhh. I don’t think you’re going to like this….” Emma said handing me her phone.

I saw that she was on her E news App. I gasped when I saw a picture of Jason Picking me off the ground. The headline read “Bad Boy Jason’s charity case.” I viciously read through the article.

“Who knew bad boy Jason from the band we all know and love really has a soft side. Sources tell us that mystery girl Ali Carson goes to Westview High where the band is spending a year to better their education. Ali Carson might seem like the typical teen but she has a secret. Earlier this month Ali was in a serious accident killing her mother. This is where things get crazy, the vehicle that hit Ali’s just so happened to be the Gaze’s limo. So is bad boy Jason really falling for this girl, or is he just guilty? We all want to know.”

“Oh.My.God.” I said just staring at the article. “How did they find out it was me from one picture?”

“Well I mean I guess they could have seen the Newspaper articles about the accident…..”

“Wow…This is just great! Everyone thinks I’m a charity case!” I said putting my head in my hands.

“Ali you are not a charity case. I saw you with that boy last night and guilt was not the motivation of anything….”

“No I know Jason doesn’t think that way. He likes me…..but Emma our school is FILLED with fans. They are going to hate me if they think Jason is dating me because of what happened....” Then another thought occurred to me. “Wait! Now everyone’s going to know about the accident!” I said groaning.

“Sweetie, don’t worry about the other people. It doesn’t matter what they think. That boy likes you and if they are too blind to see it….then….Fuck them!” I gaped at Emma.

“MOM! Bad word bad word bad word bad word bad word!” Ryan yelled.

“Yes I know…sorry sweetie.” She said smiling.

I laughed.

“Hey I never got any details about last night….” Emma said raising her eyebrow.

“Well, we went on a carriage ride, got mobbed my fans, looked at the statue of liberty, and that’s it. Nothing more to say.” I said quickly blushing.

“Ali I saw your face when you walked in. Kissing was definitely involved.” She said rolling her eyes. “You can talk about this stuff with me.”

“Okay…maybe there was some kissing.” I said biting my lip.

“And how was it?” she asked.

“Incredible.” I blurted out. “Every touch made me feel weak to my knees and gave me tingles. I can’t even describe it.”

She smiled. “I miss that feeling.”

“It’s never too late to get that feeling.” I said putting my hand on top of hers.

“Ali I don’t know if I have ever told you this, but it’s been amazing to have a girl in the house. We all really love you.”

“I love you too.” I whispered.

My phone rang, it was Noah. “Hey Noah.”

“Hey Ali.” I heard a bunch of banging in the background and then a loud yell.

“Um what’s going on? What’s that noise?”

“It’s uh Jason….”

“Oh so he saw the article?” I asked.

“Yep…”

“Okay text me the address to your hotel I’ll come over for a little.”

“Okay see you soon.”

I hung up.

“Emma I’m gonna stop by Jason’s hotel room. I won’t be long. I want to spend the rest of the day with you.”

“Okay sweetie. If you need anything just call.”

I got up and left. I stood at the curb trying to get a taxi but completely failing. I got fed up and just sat on the curb. “How hard can it be to get a God damn taxi?” I yelled.

“Pretty damn hard, I assume.” I turned around to see a boy with blonde hair.

“Wait…I know you.” I said standing up.

“Yeah, you do.” He said obviously waiting for me to realize where I knew him from.

“Ohio. You went to my old school didn’t you?” I asked.

“Ding Ding, and we have a winner.” He said in a cheesey announcer’s voice.

I laughed. “So what’s your name again? Sorry I didn’t really have that many friends there…Im not exactly a social butterfly.”

“I’m Joey. Joey Davidson and you are Ali Carson.”

“Joey….weren’t you the class president?” I asked slowly starting to remember him.

“Yeah. So why did you switch schools? You kinda just left.”

I tensed….”Live in the moment.” I whispered to myself.

What?” He asked.

“Oh nothing….I just had some…um personal….problems. That’s all.”

“Oh….well okay.” He said thankfully dropping the topic.

“So maybe I can help you get a taxi…but under once condition.”

“And what’s that?”

“Can I have your number?”

“Sure.” He handed me his phone and I added my digits. He then whistled for a taxi and immediately one pulled up.

I shook my head in disbelief. “Thanks.”

“You’re very welcome Ali Carson.” He waved and I stepped into the taxi.

I knew I would probably never talk to him….Knowing he was from my old school just shot pain through my stomach. I refuse to think about it.

************************************************************************************************

Believe me, Joey is not important. I just felt like i needed a character from the past to come in and talk to Ali. Thanks for reading! Next chapter gets CRAZY :) Love you!
