Ophelia's POV
For the next several days I concentrated on my studies. This semester hadn't been too difficult but I was definitely ready for it to be over. I could then be free for two solid weeks and have a little fun. I had decided to stay in LA and not go home. I wanted to see where this thing with Niall went now that we had made ourselves official, I guess.
Once Sunday came around, I met up with Andy so we could work on our marketing project together. Since I worked for a restaurant that highly regarded itself for it's new take on old classics, and it's creation of new classics, our project centered around the various ways to get the word out that we existed. The bar wasn't even two years old.
The graphic design course I was taking really helped us out in creating original ideas. It also killed two birds with one stone because those designs were being used as part of my graphic design final project.
We spent a good portion of the day working on what we hadn't finished when we met up Thursday. We hadn't gotten as much done as I had hoped that night because Andy has a tendency to procrastinate and goof around, which made for some fun, but ultimately delayed us in getting any real work done.
We were finishing up when my phone buzzed next to me. Picking it up, I saw it was a text from Niall. He'd been waiting all day for me to finish.
"Hey, you done yet? Thought we could get some dinner?"
"No. But, I don't think we have too much left, though. Wanna just head this way?"
I placed my phone back down only to have it buzz it again.
"You sure? I don't want to interrupt."
"Yeah, I'm sure. I'm starving. Andy probably is, too. Would it be okay if we all got something together? You and Andy could get to know each other a bit?"
I saw he was typing, "No offense, but could it just be us? I've barely seen you since Wednesday."
"We've seen each other the past two nights, silly."
"That barely counts! Haha! You were working and then too exhausted to hang out, which is fine. I get it. I just want to see you."
I didn't know how to respond. I understood where he was coming from but the only friend of mine he had even made any attempt at getting to know is Tomi. I've seen him talk with Matt a few times at work but it mostly seems short and cordial, rather than friendly. I really only have the three friends and Tomi is the only girl.
I picked up my phone. "I guess that's fine. You want to head on over?"
A minute later, "Yeah, I'll gather myself together and head your way. Want me to pick up something?"
"Sure."
"Anything in particular?"
"Not really craving anything. Something light, though. Please."
"Coming right up. I'll let you know when I'm on my way."
"Okay. See you soon."
"Is that Niall?" Andy asked, a playful tone in his voice.
"Yes. He's jealous of you taking up his time with me," I said, laughing a little.
"Uh oh. Can't be making the famous pop star jealous! He might have me whacked!" He dramatically faked his death before laughing.
"You're an idiot!" I said, laughing myself.
"It's why you love me," he said, goofy grin on his face.
