"Ice cream!"

We were both wearing our uniforms dahil kakagaling lang namin sa school, he wore a jacket today dahil maulan ang panahon.

I told him I needed a dress for the charity event at sabi niya bibili na rin siya, gusto raw niya ng bago.

I smiled widely when he gave me my icecream, binaliktad pa niya yung cup bago niya ibigay sa akin yun, making me laugh at him kasi hindi naman Dairy Queen yung binili niya, good thing hindi natapon. "Baduy mo."

He has a sweet tooth.

I looked around and saw families eating around us, nasa foodcourt kami ngayon dahil maraming pwedeng upuan dito, he also wanted to eat first before we go around finding clothes. I feel like it will take him a while to pick out a suit.

"So what do you think of wearing?" Tanong niya sa akin, making me look at him. He was looking up from his icecream, making eyecontact with me.

"I don't know yet." I shrugged. I could've just worn something I bought last year or the years before that pero ayaw ni mama so I suggested we should just sell those and donate the money, she agreed.

"What's the theme?" He asked me.

"Mom told me to wear any semi-formal dress basta hindi black." I looked at my icecream, scraped the side of the cup para hindi masayang.

"Good thing I came with you then." He laughed. "Ayaw niyo ba sa black?" He asked, more like bargained.

I gave him a smile. "The charity's to celebrate my sister's birthday." I tried to not make it sound so sad. Ayaw naming maging malungkot yung araw na iyon. It never had been.

Binibigay palagi nila Dad yung nakuha sa event sa mga bata, adoption homes, for schools they'd buy books, papers, everything they need. The rest of the cash, idodonate lang niya sa mga charity centers.

We loved my sister a lot. Obviously since isang week celebration ng birthday niya.

He just nodded slowly. He asked seriously.

"I genuinely don't know if you're kidding or not." I looked at him with a confused expression, iniisip pa rin kung seryoso yung tanong niya.

He smiled. "Wala talagang nagsusuot ng glitter glitter?? I want to wear one. Pwede pa akong mag glitter na sumbrero." Was he kidding? Walang bahid ng pagpapatawa sa mukha niya so I just chose to believe him.

"Not that I know of. But there's a first time for everything? Hindi ko alam kung may nagbebenta dito ng sparkly suits but I'm sure we could find one, or we could have someone make it for you—" He started laughing, making me glare at him. He was joking. "Sabi na, eh! Pakyu." Hinampas ko siya.

He kept laughing kahit hindi naman talaga nakakatawa, weirdo. He stopped laughing with a sigh. "Were you really okay with me just showing up wearing some sparkly silver suit and being your date?" Seryoso niyang tinanong ngayon, pero nakangiti pa rin, looking at me with amusement in his eyes.
