Tulog na ba siya?

I waved my hand above his face to make sure he was fast asleep. Thankfully, mukhang hindi naman siya magigising anytime soon so I carefully stood up and tiptoed to the kitchen, making sure na mahina ang pagkasara ng pinto.

I was sure he was out, agad kasi kaming natulog after taking a shower, it was a tiring day at Disney.

I let out a sigh of relief nang makalabas ako and I opened the lights so I can work on his chocolates.

Nakita ko sa isang site that ladies in Japan would give chocolates to the person they liked, so that's what I wanted to do. He loved the chocolates that I made for him dati, kaya... Gagawin ko ulit yun.

Cocoa Butter... Cocoa Powder... Almond Milk Powder..

Agave Syrup? Nasaan yun? Kakabili ko lang nun kahapon ah... My eyes lit up when I found it at kinuha ko yon before getting a measuring cup. 

If I'm doing it correctly... 1 cup will be enough?  And then... Salt—

"What are you doing?"

"Ay pukingina!" Gulat na sigaw ko and I immediately covered my mouth. My eyes snapped to the bedroom door where Theo was standing, looking tired pero his eyebrow was raised.

"I— I was— Nothing. I'm doing nothing." I nervously answered as I hid the pot with my body kaya he grew more curious. 

Naka-krus ang braso niya habang nilalapitan niya ako and he gently nudged me to the side, bringing a pout to my lips. Wala na, sira na yung surprise ko.

"What's this?" Tanong niya.

I turned off the stove, making him confused, but I wasn't in the mood anymore. "Chocolate." Sagot ko before heading inside the room. I felt so frustrated dahil nakita niya akong gumagawa, he was supposed to be asleep! 

I dropped myself on the bed, nakasimangot pa rin, at nagmukmok ako roon. After a while, he followed after me and sat beside my frame. 

"What's wrong, love?"

"You weren't supposed to see." Naiinis na saad ko and I sighed before sitting up. 

He held my hand before pulling me into a hug, nanlalambing. "I'm sorry. I just got worried."

"Why are you so easy to wake up kasi??"

He chuckled. "That was never a problem for you before." Saad niya before hugging me tighter nang makita ang nakanguso kong labi.

"I never saw anything." Pagbulong niya. "Tuloy mo na, I was asleep the whole time." 

He let me go at inayos niya ang mga buhok na nahulog na mula sa ponytail ko. I was still feeling frustrated pero sinunod ko pa rin siya.

I continued making his chocolates na may halong konting sama ng loob. Konti nalang naman. 

When I was done with putting the mix into the mold, I let it harden sa fridge at hinugasan ko na ang mga ginamit ko.

Pumasok ako sa kwarto and Theo was still awake. It looked like he was waiting for me at nang makita niya ako, his eyes lit up.

"Done na, baby?" He asked as he spread out his arms, asking for a hug. Even though medyo nagtatampo ako, siyempre niyakap ko siya. "Are you still upset?" He asked and sighed when I nodded.

But it subsided when he held me tighter, and I felt relaxed in his arms again. "I'm sorry for getting upset." I mumbled because parang ewan ako kanina.
