"Love, the guests are arriving." Pag-remind ni Theo as he went inside the room we were staying at; his room.
Nasa bahay kasi kami ngayon ng nanay niya and this is where they held the party. Hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala sa laki ng bahay nila. It was a new one at mas malaki pa ito sa bahay ng tatay niya dati.
So now, I was wondering how I would be able to face so many people, knowing that... Everyone they knew would come to the party.
When Theo saw the look on my face, he chuckled before walking towards me. "Are you still nervous?" Tanong niya as he wrapped his arms around my waist.
Napanguso ako habang tumatango, nararamdaman ang kabog ng puso ko dahil dadating daw ang mga lolo't lola, tito't tita, at ang mga pinsan niya. Tonight was going to be the first time I'll see them! Pati raw yung mga friends niya sa Angeles!
I was so nervous by how the way I will act kaya sabi ko kay Theo, saluhin na niya lahat ng ipapainom sa akin. I was determined to stay sober tonight. Ayaw kong mapahiya sa harap ng pamilya niya.
May ngiti sa kanyang mga labi as he held my face and I found myself just leaning unto his touch, seeking for comfort. "They'll love you, it's not that hard to. Turuan ko pa sila." He said, making me smile.
Hinalikan niya ang aking pisngi and whispered "Beautiful". Slowly, my worries went away nang yakapin na niya ako nang mahigpit.
He stayed with me as I got ready, pinalit-palitan ko pa yung ayos ng buhok ko dahil hindi ako mapakali. I groaned and just sticked to a half loose ponytail.
"Is this okay na?" Tanong ko sa kanya before looking towards him. Hanggang ngayon nakangiti pa rin siya sa akin, kanina pa ganyan ang expression ng mukha niya, making me pout. "Loooove."
"Sabi ko sa'yo you're beautiful kahit na ano pang ayos ng buhok mo." Sagot niya ulit before standing up from the bed. "If you like this one, then this one na."
I sighed and nodded before giving him a peck on the lips.
Pumunta na kami sa labas para i-greet ang mga bisita na dumadating, the party hasn't even started and the place was already packed!
From the top of the stairs, nakita ko na yung pamilya ni Theo, talking to his mother. When Tita saw us from the second floor, her smile widened at tinuro niya kaming dalawa ni Theo, making my eyes widen. Hala!
Tumigin sa amin ang buong pamilya ni Theo and they mostly looked at me. When he noticed how stunned I felt, he gently squeezed my waist, trying to give me comfort.
Bahagya niya pa akong nginitian kaya huminga na ako ng malalim before nodding.
While I walked down the stairs, I reminded myself to walk properly. Suddenly, walking in heels was difficult for me, parang kaliwa ang dalawa kong paa!
Lalo lang akong nanerbyos while we walked towards their group, but slowly, the feeling started going away because I saw the warm looks on their faces.
"So she's the girl you're talking about??" Masayang tanong ng isang lola niya and Theo nodded with a smile on his face.
"This is Monet." Pag-introduce niya sa akin at binigyan ko silang lahat ng ngiti.
My eyes widened when his lola suddenly engulfed me in a hug. Oh my gosh. "Hay, ang swerte ng apo ko sa'yo, iha. We heard so many stories." A grin played on my lips as soon as she said that at masaya kong tinignan si Theo.
"Believe me, mas swerte po ako sa kanya." Saad ko as I looked at him.
His relatives started greeting me one by one and by the end, Theo had to take me away dahil ayaw nila akong pakawalan.
