Theodore

I averted my gaze to the side as I felt someone's hand on my shoulder and I gave the person a nod when I saw it was Justin, my bestfriend.

"Pre, volleyball ka niyan ulit?" He asked at tinanguan ko siya before looking at the sign up board again. I placed my name on the very bottom before closing my pen.

"Ikaw, journalism ulit?" Tanong ko pabalik at tumango siya. We were all signing up for clubs right now and I think the first club day will be on friday? Not sure.

Naglakad na kami pababa ng building and I waved to the people I knew along the way. "Uy, pre, volleyball ka ulit?" asked one of them, he was on the volleyball team too.

"Oo, pre. See you."

Magugustohan mo 'to promise." Habol niya, he was now walking beside Justin who was wiggling his eyebrows at me, looking stupid.

"I'll pass." Sagot ko. I'm not interested in meeting anyone right now. Nakakawalang gana, at mukhang nakakapagod din magka-jowa.

He rolled his eyes. "You always pass." Sabi niya, making me smile. "Dali, na pinangako ko na sa kanya na makikilala ka niya, oh."

I looked at him in amusement. "Well, that's your problem." I said before chuckling.

"Pre masanay ka na. Miracle kapag nagka-gusto 'to sa tao." Justin said and clicked his tongue after. "Pero, ang raming transferee na magaganda sa amin tol." Pag-kwento niya at nakita kong lumiwanag ang mukha ng kaibigan namin, making me roll my eyes at him.

Tumawa si Vin nang makita niya ang reaksyon ko and then he returned his gaze back to Justin, interested in the topic.

"I heard the daughter of Miguel Castillo transferred here. Si... Damn, forgot her name." Vin asked, looking up as he thought of that person's name.

"Castillo? She's in my class." Sagot ni Justin and my eyebrows furrowed as I heard a familiar surname. Castillo? Yung kaibigan ni papa?

"Lucky! Does she look as good as people say?"

"Yea, she's beautiful, bro. Mabait pa!" Kwento ni Justin, his face lighting up as he talked about that Castillo girl.

Vin snorted. "Crush mo?" He teased, making Justin roll his eyes.

"No, nakaka-close ko na kasi. I like Jasmine."

He's been talking about her non-stop ever since he got seated beside her. She's all he ever talks about him now and I realized that I never wanted to be that guy.

"So... Castillo's single, then.." Vin trailed, making Justin and I squint our eyes at him.

We already knew what he was planning. This guy always had a new girl every month and I don't know how he doesn't get tired of playing with their feelings.

Binatukan siya ni Justin, making him laugh. "Dude, spare Castillo. She's the kindest person ever."

"Baka siya na yung the one k—"

"Tingin mo naniniwala kami diyan? Ibahin mo na script mo pre." I cut him off, chuckling at bumuntong hininga nalang siya.

"Baka hunting-in ka ng pamilya nun, nakakatakot lahi nila. Kita mo yung balita kagabi? Umuwi lang tito niya sa Pinas ang dami nang sumalubong na reporters sa airport."

"Gosh, this school must be so glad to have her as a student." Saad ko, and they nodded with amused faces.

"Castillo ba naman papasukin mo rito."
