Theo scooped a spoonfull of icecream from the tub we bought and ate it before focusing on my notebook. "Okay, your turn. It explains a concept, term, or an abstract topic." pag-basa niya sa sulat ko.

"Description Speech." I answered with confidence.

"Mhmm." He nodded kaya masaya akong nag-scoop ng icecream at kinain iyon bago ako nagbasa mula sa textbook niya.

Nagrereview kami ngayon by their pool, which was of course, huge.

Bukas na yung final day ng exams and everyday this week we would go to his house or mine tapos magre-review together. Buti nalang half-day lagi kaya marami rin kaming time para mag-kuwentuhan after.

Sometimes Tati would come over and say hi pero may sinabi sa kanya si Theo kaya ayon hindi na ulit lumabas. Poor kid, sana hindi niya tinakot.

"We're done!" I clapped excitedly at sinara na ang textbook niya.

He groaned and covered his face with my notebook. "Finally." I laughed and ate more of the icecream that lost the "ice" in its name.

"Hey." Tinignan ko siya nang tawagin ako. "Can I take you somewhere tomorrow?" pag-aya niya.

My eyebrows furrowed. "Like, a date?"

"Nope, next week pa kita aayain mag-date." He smiled cheekily. "I just want to show you something?"

"What something?" I asked, curious.

"You'll see." He gave me my notebook bago niya ginulo ang buhok ko. "So, can I?"

I nodded. "Sure."

Napangiti siya. "What do you want to do now?"

We looked at the time, four palang ng hapon. "I want to hang out with Tati."  I tilted my head and smiled. "Since tinakot mo ata."

"Hey! Hindi ko siya tinakot. Sabi ko lang may challenge ako sa kanya, pag nagawa niya yun ililibre ko siyang samgyup."

Masama ko siyang tinignan. "And what was the challenge?"

"Not step outside." Tumawa siya.  "Ako naman kapag pumasok ako, then I lose. See? I'm a good brother."

I rolled my eyes while shaking my head.

We went up to Tati's room and knocked. She was definitely happy to see that her brother lost the challenge.

We hung out with her hanggang kailangan ko nang umalis. Dad was already calling me dahil gusto raw niya matikman namin yung niluto niyang steak. He swore it was better than the last one he cooked for us.

If you were asking me, he was just really delaying our time together. Pasimple pa siya eh, joke.

"Mon, is that you?"

"Yea!" I yelled back. Where was he? Nasa kitchen?

"Okay! Go to the kitchen after you shower!" I was right.

My brain needs some kind of break, I felt exhausted this whole week.

I guess I could look forward to one thing, Christmas break. And the Christmas party I guess? Theme daw ng section namin is onesie pajama party.

I snapped out of my train of thought at tumayo na para maligo.

I just hope Dad's cooking is... edible.
