Chapter 7

"What's going on, honey?" says Mitchell. "I went to my dad's funeral today and I don't know... It just hit me so hard." says Elizabeth. "I know it did." says Mitchell. "NO, YOU DON'T!" shouts Elizabeth. "Honey, please don't shout." says Mitchell. "I'm just so angry I don't know what to do with myself!" says Elizabeth. "Please don't get angry in front of the kids." says Mitchell. "I won't." says Elizabeth. "Would you like anything?" says Mitchell. "No, thanks, I'm fine. I think I'll change and come back down to see you and the girls'." says Elizabeth.

Elizabeth heads upstairs to change to when she notices a note in the mirror written in her red lipstick reading I Love You More Than Life Itself. She wonders for a second who wrote it and then hears footsteps behind her and sees Mitchell coming into the room.

"I thought you would like that note on the mirror. The girls' recommended the lipstick. They told me." says Mitchell. "Oh, did they really? That's good." says Elizabeth. "It is good. Why don't you take a load off and I'll make dinner and feed the girls'? You've had a long day and I would like you to rest." says Mitchell. "Thanks, babe. I'll give you your favor later." says Elizabeth, kissing Mitchell's lips.

Mitchell heads downstairs with Isabella and Juliet in hand and goes to feed them first for their dinner and then he makes dinner for him and Elizabeth. He puts the girls' down in their beds and brings him and Elizabeth's dinner upstairs and they chat.

"Honey, this is so nice. Plus, it's my favorite dinner now especially if you made it. Come here, my love." says Elizabeth. "Thanks, I will come to you." says Mitchell. "Where are the girls'? Are they sleeping?" says Elizabeth. "Yes, I put them down so we could enjoy some time to ourselves." says Mitchell. "That's nice. Let's do it, then." says Elizabeth. "I knew there was something I liked about you." says Mitchell.

As Elizabeth & Mitchell give into their passions, they hear one of the girls' crying and Mitchell goes to Isabella's room and notice a note written on their wall also in red lipstick and it reads Miss Me, Girls?  Mitchell has it immediately figured it out as the doorbell is now ringing. He heads downstairs to see what it is and he blacked out. Now at the hospital, he sees Elizabeth and the girls' and wonders how he ended up here in the first place. Mitchell also sees doctors and police officers, too.

"Where am I? Why am I here?" says Mitchell. "Someone punched you honey multiple times and now you landed in the hospital." says the Doctor. "Did they figure out who did it?" says Mitchell. "He says you knew him." says the Police officer. "I knew it!" says Mitchell. "Knew what, honey?" says Elizabeth. "Kent did it." says Mitchell. "Who is Kent?" says the Police officer. "The birth dad of our adoptive girls'." says Elizabeth. "Oh." says the Doctor. "Yep." says Elizabeth.

As Mitchell as to stay overnight due to his injury, Elizabeth heads home with girls' and puts them down for the night. She walks to her room and notices an empty side to the bed for where Mitchell sleeps. She does her nighttime regime, turns the light off and heads to sleep. Miss me yet, honey?-Elizabeth thought.
